This last week I read this lovely account of a trip to Italy and thought of you, PhoebeCaulfieldThe Third. I would love to hear more about your trip.

Good one. You have to admit though, if Switz is not a EU member all their bordering neighbors are.

Personally, I’d go to London. While there, given a huge budget I’d willingly travel all over the EU: Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, and France. All by Eurostar and easily in close proximity to dear old London. I mean, totally your call and maybe you’re seeking an Asian or South America experience? But I guess you

I’m reading online and learned she acted in Belle de Jour as well as one episode of Doc Martin. That’s some range!

I have no idea who this writer is, but I adore her face and the way her cute haircut frames said face. Not to diminish her work, but she looks adorable.

This made me cry-what a beauty!

Leaving this HuffPo link here, so you can enjoy these pix of DD with many many pups. I loved looking at these!

Sounds idyllic!

Sob. Class act right there. Both of them, actually.

Do you have any personal anecdotes about DD that you are able to share? I enjoyed her old movies when they were on TV, but also appreciated her work in the field of animal rescue. I keep meaning to reserve a room up in Carmel at her dog-friendly hotel, The Cypress Inn. It’s very pricey, but I’m sure it would be a

Totally agreed, and I loved what the daughters said about their mom. It made me think she had an authentic life with her family and that she was very much loved. Good to hear.

I am of that generation that watched her and adored her in ‘The Mod Squad’. I’ve read many comments from other women in my generation who all write they “wanted to be her”. Gospel truth, Peggy Lipton embodied the cool vibe of that era. While her life on earth was a bit short I hope it was a happy one. Also, how did I

Sorry, how awful!

Fred, I love your new haircut!!!

Great comment!

I went to a college baseball game with my father instead of going  to my grad ceremony for my Masters degree. Would 100% make the same choice again. Funny, the PhD in my department scolded me later, but I thought it was a good call. I did walk for my undergrad, though. That was really a fantastic and fun weekend!

When my father died I said the same thing you said above, “...I’m not ready to say goodbye.” Ready or not when the end comes the survivors have to cope as best they can. My father knew I loved him but maybe there would have been things I could have said, had I known his end was coming. You can still talk to him and I

My feet are wide but the right one is freakishly wide due to a botched bunion surgery from 20 years ago. I try to buy Clarks in wide, and they often work well for me. Another source is super expensive, but it turns out they work out best for me. Have you ever tried the Munro brand? Like I said, pricey but they
