I agree. I loved the look of the original Mirror’s Edge because it felt much more realistic and less shiny. The City really did feel like I could hop on a plane and actually be there in 12 hours whereas Glass feels like it’s just a backdrop I should be ignoring.

There was some crazy amounts of bloom in the beta, but it’s reserved for sunrises and billboards, which would have that much bloom IRL. I wasn’t too annoyed by it.

I kind of liked the gun combat too. It helped that the game was designed by DICE, who has lots of experience making really satisfying guns. And I think it would be really cool to pick up a stun gun in Catalyst to help take down a squad instead of having to slow down and trade punches.

I agree! I even played the beta with runner vision disabled. A lot of climbable objects are pretty obvious for returning players, and rubber marks indicate other climbable objects.

I agree wholeheartedly with you! I’m holding off on buying Catalyst because I don’t think it’s worth $60. It’s a beautiful open world game that really suits the parkour, but when I played the beta I hated all the busy-work trials, skill unlock trees, and floaty gameplay.
