Manual Chevy SS
Oooof, I love that you drive a manual Chevy SS, but I have to cringe at the thought of anyone holding a car on a hill with the clutch. That is the first thing I was taught not to do!
I agree the skip shift is a awful idea, but why bypass the hill hold, it’s a wonderful invention! your dad said “can” hold on a hill with the clutch, not you should hold a car on a hill with the clutch, doing that is a great way to wreck your clutch early. Driving stick isn’t just about being able to do it smoothly…
Everyone voting CP on this doesn’t know the market for these cars.
I’d rather have an SS and 10k
I would spend it on the SS instead. The RS3 will be around for a while, this would be the last chance to get an SS that nobody has farted in yet.
You mean they shouldn’t be using credit scores?
These posts are getting old. “Man parks collection of fire trucks in front of house” “man parks airplane in driveway”. Can we stop defending these people? They are any eyesore, and they make the neighborhood look like a circus, which hurts house prices. What’s so wrong with neighbors trying to maintain their house…
Raise your hand if you are sick of these driveway parking controversy stories.
Pontiac LG8BT? (No Q on the end, that’s an Audi registered trademark.)
Ontario Provincial Police.
You know, I’ve been here all my life and I never noticed how redundant Ontario and Provincial are in OPP...
“Itasha” are decal-covered nerdmobiles. One Tokyo garage might be the best place in Japan to spot them.
So are dive-planes and front-splitters dumb on a RWD? Where downforce is helpful isn’t dictated by the drive-wheels. If you have a FWD car that has mid-corner oversteer issues, downforce at the back is helpful.
A casual look through car renting service Turo yields some pretty sweet and unusual stuff. Why rent a Nissan Sentra…
The marketing department didn’t fail at their job. It was supposed to be an ultra-low seller from the start. The car has sold on its own merits to people that understand the fact that something like this will likely never exist again. Unless you want a Dodge with no manual option, or a German car (again, no manual)…
Protips:
Too bad maintenance costs on your alternatives will eat you alive.
I’m not Canadian, but what company will sell you insurance for less than its value? It’s in the insurer’s interest to cover the whole loss. Declared value policy? Is that even a thing in the Socialist People’s Republic of Northern Minnesota? Is she a Canadian national buying a US policy? I am corn-fused.
