Manual Chevy SS

Oooof, I love that you drive a manual Chevy SS, but I have to cringe at the thought of anyone holding a car on a hill with the clutch. That is the first thing I was taught not to do!

I agree the skip shift is a awful idea, but why bypass the hill hold, it’s a wonderful invention! your dad said “can” hold on a hill with the clutch, not you should hold a car on a hill with the clutch, doing that is a great way to wreck your clutch early. Driving stick isn’t just about being able to do it smoothly…

I’d rather have an SS and 10k

I would spend it on the SS instead. The RS3 will be around for a while, this would be the last chance to get an SS that nobody has farted in yet.

So are dive-planes and front-splitters dumb on a RWD? Where downforce is helpful isn’t dictated by the drive-wheels. If you have a FWD car that has mid-corner oversteer issues, downforce at the back is helpful.

The marketing department didn’t fail at their job. It was supposed to be an ultra-low seller from the start. The car has sold on its own merits to people that understand the fact that something like this will likely never exist again. Unless you want a Dodge with no manual option, or a German car (again, no manual)…

I’m not Canadian, but what company will sell you insurance for less than its value? It’s in the insurer’s interest to cover the whole loss. Declared value policy? Is that even a thing in the Socialist People’s Republic of Northern Minnesota? Is she a Canadian national buying a US policy? I am corn-fused.
