If only there some kind of remote, OnStar like thing that could be triggered to lock thieves in stolen cars and then have them self-destruct. A computerized voice could do a countdown from say 30 seconds (maybe less, testing would need to be done) while interjecting little comments like “don’t you wish that you’d

I never thought I would buy any GM product but I now own a C7 Corvette. Performance per dollar value is great and the interior is actually pretty nice - I would definitely recommend it to a friend

If the policeman suspected the vehicle was stolen and called a wrecker to take the vehicle to the police lock up, I would agree.  But the policeman knew who owned the vehicle and decided to penalize an innocent party.  Obviously, campaign contributions keep the dealership free from any penalties for breaking the law.

Kind of a dick move. I see where the police are coming from, but I don’t think this solution is going to change the dealers behavior. Why would the dealership care? They aren’t paying the fines (unless they sell a vehicle, apparently).

There are a lot of blanket answers here, but here’s a more specific one: Any 2012-2018 Ford Focus or Fiesta with the DPS6 dual-clutch transmission. It’s a shame, because they’re otherwise really good economy cars, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend an ST or a base model with a manual transmission. The used car

As a mechanic, when people ask me what to buy, I tell them to avoid anything Stellantis, German, especially VAG,  Nissan, and Ford. Only because that's 95% of what we see in the shop, and mostly big-ticket repairs. ( EcoBoost turbos anyone?)  But I can't complain. Pays the rent.

I’d probably use many of the same reasons you did…except for the environmental friendliness comment. An EV is so wildly more efficient at converting stored energy to motion that it easily offsets any challenges in production. At this point, you have to be willingly holding onto misinformation to believe otherwise.

I wasn’t even thinking about the reliability honestly. The Wrangler is just LOUD, the seats are stiff, the technology in the vehicle is very meh. It’s just not meant to be a daily driver. It’s fantastic offroad where it belongs, but people who use them as mall crawlers just seem insane to me. Why submit yourself to a

Korean. The vehicles are fine. I drive a fleet Santa Fe. But I’m an industrial repair engineer and have worked in a number of Korean plants in the US and Mexico. They’re full of OSHA violations, the kind that endanger workers. Some that I have worked in have been locked down and fined. Korean plants stand out among

Any Escalade, in any trim. If you really need a fancy, giant, box-shaped tank to take your kids to school and soccer practice, buy a Yukon Denali and save your self $25K - $30K. At least then when the plastics start cracking, and all the fittings start creaking and rattling, and the leather starts wearing out, and the

Police vehicles should be required to be brightly colored so they can be quickly identified. They are emergency vehicles, not fashion accessories. Imagine a fire truck or ambulance that was murdered out and how ridiculous that would be.

Thats it... thats all you have to do.

I was going to say “ban unmarked cruisers,” but I have a feeling that black markings on all-black vehicles is some kind of technicality so the cops can say “but it’s marked!!!”  Not that it would’ve mattered in this case, but still.  Who’s going to see their ghost decals at 5 AM?

At some point, SURELY some people will start to realize that building and buying houses near the FL coast is a pretty bad idea. When I was a kid the only older houses I recall seeing near the beach were ones made out of concrete and cinder blocks. None of the newer McMansions they built ever since will stand a chance.

And enough idiots will watch the video to get him enough views to reward the idiot with another one that he can crash, rinse and repeat.  Social media is so fucking dumb, but that’s only because most people are so fucking dumb.

Repulsive little twat.

When I worked in clothing retail, I (an introvert) would beg to spend large chunks of my shifts managing inventory and dressing the store, rather than aggressively upselling our customers. One day I was reorganizing the stock room and uncovered an entire box of beautiful dresses that I’d never seen before, not even on

I believe the thinking is that it’s yet another expense involved with raising a child.

Car seats aren’t the problem, it’s the screaming little monsters that sit in them.
