Which components will I use in my EV conversion?

I’m reading this and yelling out loud “Why David, why.”   If you have to do the difficult job of fitting a new electric drive system to an old chassis, why not pick a vehicle whose body and cab is in somewhat decent shape?  Why do you have to make every project so difficult all around?  Why can’t you be more like…

First:

Direct TPMS. Adds $200 to a set of tires because of the new sensors. Thankfully, indirect TPMS exists on some cars, which doesn’t require replacing expensive sensors.

Push button starter. WHY do I need this? What problem does it solve??? What was wrong with inserting a key and turning it?

Start/Stop technology, and the inability to permanently turn it off.  You have to disable it every time you drive your car (at least on Toyotas).  It is annoying as fuck and I’m not getting any better gas mileage than my old car of the same model without the “feature”.

Exactly. For those who can afford to have two cars, it’s going to be the EV for daily and the ICE for long trips and fun.

There are a couple different sources for the carbon in syngas but if they are claiming low CO2 then that mostly narrows it down to two options.

OK, but can we all agree that a system in which you feel the need to tip 65% to 130% of your entire order is fucked up? She didn’t finish high school.  She got her GED while running for congress.  I’m sure she doesn’t understand how the constitution works at all.  I do not understand why the Republican party decided that she was the best person to run for office in her district.
