My Corvette ballcap with the correct C5 logo, in a yellow color which is too light to match the Millenium Yellow paint on my C5Z. I only wear it at our annual Corvette Show and the very occasional Drag Day or Track Weekend.

Nothing wrong with 65s. Our third vehicle for carrying stuff and short road trips is a 2007 Honda Odyssey LX now with only 60K miles and relatively new Continental 235/65R16s on black steelies. Between the relatively comfortable seats and the high-sidewall tires, it’s Just Fine for low mileage road trips. Anything

Sorry, you forgot the /s. Poe’s Law, et al.

The Kia Rio S is one of the last remaining “Perfectly OK commuter hatchbacks with room for “stuff” in the back.” It’s very disappointing you can’t get one with three pedals (at least here in the USA).

it’ll last for the duration the lease... beyond that. not really my problem.

You can’t drive it in winter because no AWD

Great answer, and bonus points for your screen name.

I like to tell people that my beloved wife of 34 years and I have a “mixed marriage”, only because she grew up in the West Side suburb of Fairview Park, and I grew up in the East Side suburb of Pepper Pike. We were married in 1987 by the then-Mayor of Pepper Pike in a 100% secular ceremony which the two of us wrote,

‘Three felons and a truck’ and they dropped off her stuff- about 90% of it that was there were discrepancies between the two invoices and she was able to collect on what went missing. About 7 months later she gets a call from the police department saying that they have her laptop and tv- it came from the homicide

Sorry, I should have added, “All moves were within the same local metropolitan area”. I’ve never moved out of state because I’ve lived my entire life of 66 years “East of the Cuyahoga” in the Greater Cleveland area.

When I was in my 20’s I moved several times from one rental house to another (As a motorhead, you had to rent a house instead of an apartment, because they came with a garage). At that time U-Haul trucks were relatively cheap and I had many friends/co-workers who would pitch in and help out with a “moving

After reading all these accounts of DEET-containing bug spray acting as a solvent on plastics, now I’m thinking, “Why would I spray or spritz on a plastic solvent on my skin?”

Thank you for that informed posting. I’ll occasionally use a very lightly abrasive “paint cleaner” product from Meguiars, followed by a Meguiars paste wax on headlights that look a little hazy. Is this ill-advised as well? I don’t want to polish off that “siloxane hard coating”.

Can you recommend any particular “liquid plastic polish”?

When the hard drive finally dies and joins the ghosts of iPods past, road trips will never be the same.

I watched the first minute or so. What’s the point, Paul?

I agree with your point but the article says, “The Massachusetts house was built in 1650". (1650+330)=1980, so I think you really meant to type 370 years.

NEVER get a used minivan, there is something critically wrong with it to be on the used market.

Fuel lines? Isn’t that all high pressure steel lines? What am I missing here?

...what to spray on my wiring harness to prevent the goddamn rodents from chewing it up (frickin’ biodegradable plastic wiring crap). I am almost up to $3,000 so far for rodent-caused wiring repairs.
