Bouchard told the Star-Tribune he married the girl when she was 15 and he was 19. At the time, they were both living in Florida....“A lot of pressure. Pressure to abort a baby.”

I may have accidentally erased a reply from Dead Elvis, Inc. I don’t remember where I picked up this design, but it was not in the Boy Scouts as I was never a member. Maybe my dad taught me, and he wasn’t a Scout either ;-)

In our first “starter house” there was a built-in-on-a-post gas grill, fed by an underground natural gas line. That spoiled me forever. We’ve been in our Dream Home for 29 years now, and just bought our third high-quality natural gas grill, this one the MHP brand. The better grills have ceramic briquettes or discs so

Understand that any nice paint finish will be quickly burned off. Best to pick something you’d otherwise recycle. When I was a kid, Hi-C and Hawaiian Punch “fruit flavored drinks” came in tall (32 oz?) metal containers. It’s probably all plastic these days.

Millennia is a word, “Millenia” (as the Mazda was spelled) is not.

Chimneys rock. You can buy one, or if you’re cheap you can make one out of an old steel coffee can or something bigger/taller. Cut out the bottom so it’s a hollow cylinder. Punch with a big nail or drill a couple holes near one end so you can insert two pullers made out of coat hanger wire, maybe 18-24 inches

we will be doing some long distance trips throughout the year (6 or so hour trips) and need something reliable. Most weekends will be an hour or two drive, to get out of the city and find some nearby hiking.

how many can you & your better half drive at one time?

PART IT OUT! When I was a much younger man (approximately your current age) I drove a succession of rusted out beaters until the most merciful thing was to part out what was still useful for a few dollars here and there, and then send the remaining carcass to the junkyard. I’ve commented here previously that at

Blood sports prevent us from committing actual massacres.

Humans will never be civilized until the day when no one will pay to watch one person beat the shit out of another person.

How every Trump/Pence sign should be vandalized...

Luxury is in the materials that make up the interior. Sure some fancy features but the core of it is nicer paint, softer leather, less plastic, better carpets...

Eh, I’m not opposed to bumper stickers but I use them sparingly, and only on the rear glass of our DDs so they are easy to remove with no chance of paint damage. I thought Jay Inslee would have been a splendid President so I put up his stickers to help spread his name recognition. After he dropped out, I put up

corned beef spot here in Cleveland called Slymans

Of course it takes some classic car effort to drive: Zero assisted anything so you’re going to have to press hard on brakes and clutch.

They are honestly not THAT expensive.

Waaay back in the summer of 1968 as a 13 year old I watched the USA television screening of The Prisoner (filmed in Portmerion, Wales in 1966 starring Patrick McGoohan) and fell in love with the Lotus 7, and subsequently with the Caterham clones. A Caterham is still in my “If I won the lottery” vehicle acquisition

Not sure why they think $14,000 a week is impressive, esp in today’s world. I make more than that weekly working from home

Our four-vehicle fleet all with relatively low odometer mileage varies from 5 to 17 model-years old. The current situation is temporary. I have zero incentive to sell or buy at this time. Take the long view.
