“Next time I have to do this job, I’ll already have the tool.” I’ve got a bunch of those tools in my workbench collecting dust under that mantra.

It’s a government document, and like every doc, you are never to laminate since it would take one level of defense against counterfeits off.

If I stick my arm into this running wood chipper and lose it, then it was God’s will!

I’m getting my second Moderna shot ten days from now, but I draw the line at wearing pink ;-)

Doesn’t everyone align their center caps with respect to the valve stem? Heck, I do that on my Sonic and my wife’s Fit.

My first three cars were ‘64 LeMans, ‘69 Firebird, and ‘67 Firebird. All with points ignition and four wheel manual drum brakes, etc. so I understand what you’ve been dealing with. I have completely obsolete skills rebuilding one-, two-, and four-barrel carburetors. Anybody want to buy a timing light and dwell

I’d apply a thin line of silver oil based model paint to the groove on the harmonic balancer. Semi-permanent and easy to see with the timing light.

While we’re on the subject of vacuum, are you thinking about a mechanical-advance distributor?

I have to somewhat agree with you. I belong to a Corvette club that hosts an annual car show. It’s largely a social club where (pre-Covid) a core group of members goes somewhere for dinner every month and has other social events. Very nice people but they are not interested in track events. Out of 50-plus members

Yup, a friend of the family had a ‘68 GTO with the same Ford 3-speed.

Hatchbacks basically exist solely as entry-level vehicles at this point. Making fast, expensive versions of them is chasing a non-existent market.

I’ll be happy with a lukewarm hatch as long as it has three pedals and better-than-entry-level seats. Right now my rather disappointing best bet looks like the 2021 Mazda 3 Premium, with its lousy color choices, ugly black wheels, and a too-big C pillar.

Wow. That was an eye-opening read. Just a small except:

How much would a basic stereo and AC add? That’s all it really needs.

I’m surprised that no one else has mentioned https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_Shack

Thanks, I had to use Google Maps to find Gallia County, but then I’ve lived in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio and points further east for all of my 65 years now ;-) I see you’re right there on the Ohio River on the border with West Va.

Huh, I stopped buying breakfast cereal in my early 30's (30+ years ago). I had been either buying a hot breakfast at my above-average company cafeteria or occasionally at McD’s on the way to work, or else making my own breakfast sandwiches (these days an English muffin, meat, cheese, and fried egg) occasionally when I

In my county and others in Ohio with a large Amish community, it’s been a point of contention that they contribute nothing to road taxes, because they pay neither gas taxes or registration fees, among other taxes.

This guy had a GTO too...

Who in their right mind owns a C3?
