It is almost NEVER a good idea to trade in a car!

You’re incredibly naive.

You’re being a bit pessimistic.  Unemployment here in our part of Florida is around 10%.  Bad, but not terrible.  Democrats and Republicans will get behind stimulus.  If there’s one thing politicians love to do, it’s spend our money.

The miles don’t bother me, but for a couple grand more you can get a clean example with around 100K.  CP for the lazy seller.

Cue the FCA haters.

NP.  If I was going to do it this would be the car.

I do, because it means I’m not the only crazy person on the planet!

Unless he manages to exonerate himself, in which case he never should have been arrested in the first place.

I like your style.

After thinking about it, I remembered my brother had one back when he was roofing. It seems guys bought these, loaded them down like a 3/4 ton, and when they didn’t have the capacity/longevity of a full size truck called them crap.

2nd Gear:

Ah yes, the old Costco $1.50 hot dog and soda marketing anecdote.  Very well written.

Meh, Mercedes quality has been going downhill for 20+ years.  Glad they are killing off some models, though.  They could start by axing Maybach; it just never took off like they thought it would.  Also, all those weird car/SUV things that compete against the BMW X6.  Never understood those.

Here too. I was going to vote CP, then started looking at prices. This is actually reasonable

Genesi?

No, you did not explain. I’m trying to explain to you the country is broke. You can blame the government and it’s response all you want, but the fact remains we’re in this situation. Some people were prepared, some weren’t. Current unemployment were I sit in Florida is 10%. Bad, but certainly not catastrophic.

So, please understand that just because the government can print more money it doesn’t mean we have it.  On your 2nd point, those empty houses are owned by somebody.  Are you advocating confiscating second and third homes from the wealthy and giving them to the poor?  We’ve had welfare long enough in this country to

Wrong answer, Tom.  You should have told the guy he needs a GTI!

Where is there enough money to give every homeless person a house in this country?  What the hell are you smoking?

Not going to argue with you, but fixing a Miata is still cheaper and it will break less in the first place.
