No one buys cars?  Tell that to Honda, Hyundai, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Think so? FCA definitely has it’s problems (hello Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa, Maserati(shit, maybe you just won)), but can still sell Jeeps and full size trucks.

Reverse: IMHO, GM should have kept it’s hierarchy of “a car for every wallet.” It screwed up by trying to make every division appeal to everybody, and ultimately makes cars nobody seems to want (we’re talking cars here, not full-size trucks). My favorite example to trot out is the Chevrolet Impala/Cadillac XTS. Both

I knew it.  It’s Trump’s fault!

Never understood that one, either.  As a teenager I drooled over those when they came out.

These cars are largely scorned today, but I predict will the future will be more kind to them than the TC.  NP.

True.  What’s changed is the speed with which these germs can spread, and the speed with which the world can be informed and prepare.

This is all new territory, and it’s obvious from this post opinion vary widely.   We already allow for a certain amount of death and suffering in the normal course of every day.  I find it sad that the same people who have no problem putting the world on hold for this relatively benign virus will gladly go into

You didn’t answer the question.  What cost are you willing society to pay to let this drag out?

But at what cost? Are you saying we should remain on lockdown for however long it takes until the virus is wiped out? You do understand most business will be wiped out, and more people will die of suicide and drug/alcohol abuse than by a virus that still has not killed the average flu season average of 60,000 a year

I voted nice price after searching the web because ROB IS RIGHT THEY HAVE ALL BEEN MODDED!

Great article, thank you.  The desert shots are beautiful.  Personally I prefer a travel trailer, although they are not practical for the spots you were able to access.

That car in that color.  Especially from the rear view.

Now that looks sharp!

It’s rarely a hobby.  I ran diesel trucks for my septic business because that’s all that worked!  Although gas motors have gotten more reliable in the last 30 years, for long haul applications you really can’t beat a diesel.

Regarding the last question: I have a friend who is 6'8" and 350 lbs.  He’s a big man.  I once asked what cars were the most comfortable, and he said his old Nissan Maxima was great and had lots of room.  Lately he’s been driving Ford Expeditions and Excursions.

Your numbers are suspect in the U.S. because in some areas (New York for example) deaths are being counted as coronavirus deaths even if the victim didn’t die from the virus but died from other causes while being infected.  The point I’ve been trying to make is that we cannot wait for a vaccine.  This country cannot

Not true.  Sweden is farther ahead of us on herd immunity.  All we are doing is stretching this out and setting us up for future outbreaks.

Except it’s not.  Shut off your TV.

If you wait until the conditions you describe arrive there will be no business’ left to open. Personally, I think we went about this wrong. We should have moved to protect the most vulnerable in our society and let everything else go on (mostly) as usual, in order to establish herd immunity. Swede has been successful
