Correction: Temptation is not, actually, a masterpiece. Many of Scorsese’s pictures are but that one was slopped together in 58 days after the original film was cancelled by Paramount.

Sam Kinison channeled pervasive homophobia and misogyny in the 80's that made that decade a hellscape for many. And the shit isn’t funny unless you think yelling “BIT&H” at the top of your lungs is funny.

Exactly. It’s ridiculous they didn’t go with him.

Why do all my comments always go into “pending” and never see the light of day? Is it because I have “butt” in the title of my name? A reference to one of my favorite Bob’s Burgers episodes or am I just somehow violating community standards in general?

I’m just going to assume that no one at AV Club watched Arcane.

I’ve NEVER had this happen to me and I’ve replayed that opening probably 5 times since I got the game. Maybe play with a different character build?

It’s amazing how much you scrutinize a show that actually attempts something more than predictable storylines but let pass some of the most blase fair. I guess you’d all rather watch Riverdale.

Headline sounds like another sex assault allegation. That’s why I, crestfallen, had clicked on it. I was relieved, but strongly recommend you change the wording.

If you believe articles extolling romanticized conceits like the Curse of Bambino, the Cubs curse and the Giants Even Year Magic are all lazy, superficial ways of forcing meaning where there is none into these games, do you not realize you commit the same “sins” when you try to characterize any one team’s fans?

Give the guy a break, he’s been staring at those new uniforms for 144 games now. You get hateful at that point.

Standing up for your principals and losing years in your prime and, at the same time, doing it to highlight an unjust war and racism in the US may not be “heroic” but it certainly is admirable.

So the fact that Ali was a human being capable of doing shitty things means he wasn’t also capable of amazing and admirable acts? You understand that, for the most part, human beings don’t exist in a binary world of “asshole” and “good guy”?
