Yep, pretty much all the studies tell me is "ease into it". When I wore the VFFs honestly it took a while to have my toes all spread so wide, but after a few weeks of 1-2 mile runs I could confidently do 4-5 miles and all my knee pain was gone. It wasn't the shoes, but they forced me into a better foot strike.

I do own a pair of FiveFingers, and I use them for more than just running. I can ride my bike and swim in them, and I think they work great in a triathlon setting. Do I run in them everyday? No, but I can attest to the benefits of the calf muscles strengthening.
