The Dorne stuff always kind of felt like padding in the books, but that’s probably because it’s been YEARS and there’s been no pay-off. Before the prince got killed, I thought “so is this actually going to go somewhere?” and now I’m like “well, I hope they side with Khaleesi when she comes back to Westeros.” Still…

I think the Dorne storyline could not be any dumber. Tonight’s episode didn’t really help all that much.

I think it tells us something important, though. Melisandre has been doing what she does for a very, very, very long time. So for her to face a crisis of faith now, after all that time presumably having it continue unshaken, is that much more significant.
