What’s on tonight is the new Criterion Collection edition of The Tree of Life that comes out today with a new cut that’s “not a director’s cut.”

I’m definitely seeing this, but I gotta admit I was a little disappointed to learn that there wasn’t some sort of blood-soaked, slow-motion montage featuring a crazed Nic Cage at his most Nic Cageiness perpetrating some righteous violence upon evildoers set to the Barry Manilow song.
I still can’t wait to see it. I couldn’t pass up Dinklage and Fanning, and I’ll definitely check out anything of Morano’s after what she did with Meadowland.
Dammit, you bastard. Glad I checked before I commented.
That’s still crazy to me all these years later. And then not even for her guest shots on Friends where she and Elliott Gould were absolutely delightful together.
I saw Kin, which I would have loved as a kid and still liked a lot now. I deliberately went in blind since knowing that it had Carrie Coon, Zoe Kravitz, and Dennis Quaid was more than enough to get me to buy a ticket. All three were excellent, though I was hoping for more of Coon. James Franco plays something that…
That definitely sounds like something Dark Horse would’ve done in the 90's. Are you sure Robocop wasn’t in the mix too?
I only got to see the second one on the big screen so I’d love to do this, but sadly there’s no AMC’s anywhere remotely near here. It’s on Amazon Prime though, so I guess I’ll be doing that soon.
There’s no way... no way... that you came from my loins. Soon as I get home, first thing I’m gonna do is punch yo mama in the mouth!
How has there not been a Predator/Terminator crossover movie yet?
“I ain’t got time to *69.”
Ah yes.... the classics never go out of style.
I’m still holding out hope. I think they might be waiting to see how Jim Carrey’s new show does before committing to renewal. If it bombs then they don’t even need to bother trying to keep him happy. If it does well, then maybe they try piggyback off its success or try leveraging him into actually taking a role on…
Couldn’t possibly do any worse.
Season 2 was after the cutoff this year. And while Linney was great as always, I thought Julia Garner far and away the most deserving of an Emmy nod this year. Hopefully it happens next year, but it’ll probably be too long ago by then.
A Danette Chavez piece with obvious and avoidable errors? I’m shocked, I tell you! SHOCKED!!!
MoviePass got me to watch quite a few things this past year that I would normally have waited to see on VOD or Netflix/Amazon.
I was that same kid. And I enjoyed Hotel Artemis. It’s not amazing, but I was definitely entertained for a couple hours. I always like watching Jodie Foster act, and Sofia Boutella, Dave Bautista, and Sterling Brown were all fun. Charlie Day was the only sour note for me, but he always is. Basically, I thought it…
I’m pooping right now!!!
