Well, it certainly raised their standard of living. The irony: that raised standard of living has made the general public in China more tolerant of oppressive Communist Party rule. ^ Exactly! Posture absolutely can affect back health (pain, etc). To say it has no effect is ludicrous. To say there is no ‘perfect’ posture seems reasonable and probable.
