@omgwtflolbbqbye: in comic history, maybe, but I've never read a single Spider-man comic. I grew up with the cartoon, and in the cartoon, Venom + the black suit miniseries was just jaw-droppingly amazing, thus cementing my love for the character. I understand and accept that he represents the shittiness that is

Wait they're physically combining Dianna Agron and Geogina Haig to create Spidey's love interest?? Well, I guess when you're half-Spider, you have strange tastes...

@Joshua Calles: Anaheim would've been okay. I can't think of major arguments for or against really.

That's a LOT of money. Where is this information coming from, exactly? Someone close to the negotiations, or Mr. Crazy from Crazytown? Because it sounds like the latter.

@H2H: god, 80s television. What's depressing is that this version actually lasted slightly longer than the original series.

@zslane: I seriously doubt they chose to stay in SD in order to get back to their roots. I'm pretty sure at this point, they see themselves as a meltingpot of all modern pop culture.

It's a nice town and all, and I like how they always seem to get on board with the con every year...but that convention center is just awful. I really hope whatever deal they made involved expanding the size of the building somehow. Otherwise, in two years they'll be selling out to capacity within a week.

In the fan world of Batman 3, The Riddler has already been confirmed as the villain, half the cast has been chosen, and we're already wondering who will survive to see the fourth movie.

@Simon DelMonte: But a CA that's just a roided up guy would be lame! That means Barry Bonds got all those home runs because he was a super soldier. Either that or the Allies need to put an asterisk on their success in WW2...

@Kal-El77: 50 bucks says it's gonna happen before Kent gets one.

Meanwhile, in this reality, we got "Batman and Robin" and then "Alien vs. Predator" (x2). Honestly, I prefer your alternate reality, simply for how efficient they are at combining their shit and getting it over with quickly.

The covers look great, but I'm not really a fan of any of the character designs. Mostly because I think bringing it back to the 50s is an interesting idea, and only the Penguin's design barely hits that mark, if even. I mean Harley looks like she walked out of Hot Topic, and I don't think Bat Girl's boots should be

@TheAlmanac: I don't think the story would have worked if it was focused around something other than D&D. It's saying something about a state of mind that doesn't translate so well to other forms of play.

What we really need is a Heart Of Gold up in here.

@gd01skorpius: the political and social climate is irrelevant; it will always change when it's absolutely needed to, and not a second before. The only real tripping is the whole "escaping the earth's gravity" problem, which is what will always, always, always make easy ground-to-air space travel prohibitive.

@Kishi: Yeah, I'd be curious to see someone try reproducing these findings at the standpoint of 100 and 200 years ago, to see whether the projections way underestimate observed reality.

Interesting Captain America photos. They make me wonder - if Chris Evans has the post-super serum look down, then is this going to be a rare occasion where they'll have to digitally DE-enhance his appearance for the early parts of the film?

Now that the Hulk argument has been put to bed
