Being in the NBA makes you the best in the world. Playing high level D-1, also the best in the world. 2% of college players play in the NBA.

Think about being the best in the world at something and then not being able to do it anymore, even though you are physically capable. That has to be a mentally crushing experience. Then imagine that this implosion happens in front of the whole world. I feel for him.

As much fun (and narrative sense) it makes to blame those stupid 4th down plays, the reason the Steelers lost this game is that their defense blew nuts. The offense scored 42 points even with all those miscues. It’s the most ever scored in a home playoff loss.

“Chalk up the terrible onside kick and the clock management to the likelihood that Tomlin never expected to be in a close game with just a few minutes left on the clock.”

Folks was’t amazing, but he was good enough, and clearly got more confident and comfortable as the game went on. He’s always been streaky as hell, so if he can carry some momentum into the next game, they definitely have a chance to pull it out.

Nice snarky headline. And I read Deadspin for the snark. But after watching the game, if this is the best you got, it rings hollow.

I don’t disagree with you, but do you honestly think other presidents didn’t say “bad” words in private meetings?

You are a joyless, miserable person.

I think he’s just throwing the ball down in disappointment/frustration?

Uhhh those teachers generally get their asses fired immediately. While there are some abuse coverups stories in schools, those are usually at religious private schools. Public schools are incredibly careful about not keeping known abusers on staff.

That doesn’t carry. All you’re saying is that she has a lot of supporters and name recognition, like that’s a negative. You seem way more interested in dissing on Bernie after the fact than having a productive discussion.

Organized religion is not a predominantly spiritual thing, it is a political thing that has been used to abuse and control people since it’s inception.

Americas obsession with religion and eagerness to follow these televangelist con-men is why we have the GOP and Trump in office. Millions of fucking idiots.

Agreed. But it’s still ok to hate Bill Simmons.

Hopefully people read the entire article because there’s an all time simmons paragraph where he compares the people in the Patriots scandal to the characters in Almost Famous, which sounds like something you would make up if you were trying to parody a simmons article.

Obviously the actual language doesn’t matter, it’s the idea that people from countries that trump knows nothing about and that he claims don’t meet some arbitrary standard shouldn’t be allowed to immigrate to the U.S.

There’s a way to discuss the health of a loved one with them without being an asshole about it. That’s not what fat-shaming is. Fat-shaming is being a dick to people you don’t know because they look unhealthy to you.

Encouraging and perpetuating the benefits of a healthy diet and exercise aren’t the same as attacking people about their weight. Know/learn the difference.

Well, it actually doesn’t work, so there’s that. Study after study and basic psychology tell us that.
