It’s a good law to have, but the enforcement is awful. Re-write the law to more clearly allow work-related knives, and/or find someone willing to crackdown on police officers abusing the law. Getting rid of it entirely seems like the wrong move to me.

A 4 point and a 5 point lead are pretty much exactly the same near the ned of a game, so there’s basically no risk. Going up by 6 means that if the other team scores a TD, and misses the extra point (more reasonable outcome, since the kicks were moved back), then the game is tied.
