It’s a good law to have, but the enforcement is awful. Re-write the law to more clearly allow work-related knives, and/or find someone willing to crackdown on police officers abusing the law. Getting rid of it entirely seems like the wrong move to me.

I would be very surprised if silencing polyphenol oxidase had a noticeable effect on flavor, other than keeping the flavor consistent over the life of the apple.

Oxidized apples taste different, and feel different in your mouth. I’d take a crisp apple over a brown and soft one every single time.
