Man, mid to late aughts forums were the best. I miss the online comraderie and the modding knowledge share.

You sound like a NYC lifer. Here’s some outside information they don’t want you to know: when you don’t live in a city with one of the highest costs of living in the world, you don’t need as high of a salary to have the same quality of life!

How does one “stumble” upon this?  I have to believe they’re somehow using knoweldge of the source code and reverse-engineering the inputs to force the code into certain states... right?  No one is sitting there for hours on end, every day, trial-and-erroring exact frames to see what happens in trillions of possible

Indeed, it really messes up my screen layout. I have my web browser in the lower right quadrant, and overlayed my work programs on the left side of the browser window to cover the non-article/comment portion of the site while still being able to scroll down and read. I know it’s an extreme first world problem but...

I’m confused. Are you saying that it is somehow harder to move away from a tourist destination than it is from literally anywhere else on the planet? I’ll try to break it down for you:

Or, don’t live in a crowded tourist destination if you don’t like crowds of tourists...

Yup. My 2006: rust bucket. My 2008: rust bucket. My 2014: not a speck.

I’m not participating in a debate this time around; everyone has said their piece already several times. At the very least Jalopnik is now laying on an obvious disclaimer about this being illegal. That’s much better than they were doing before, even if I wish they didn’t post about this at all.

I’m just glad no one

I had a Corsica (although only with the 3.1) back in highschool for a year. It was k. I don’t think it’s possible to make this car worth anything more than 4k at this point. It would probably make an interesting daily at that price just for the conversations it would strike up.  CP.

Looks closer to a refreshed TT than F-Type to me.

Yep, they whacked it with the ugly stick. This is now an Anonymous Angry Coupe. You could slap any badge on the grille and no one would raise an eyebrow.  0/10 would not refresh again.

Agreed, I saw that several times over the weekend watching college sports. We live in a very well-to-do midwestern lake neighborhood, although our lot is not waterfront so our house is literally 1/3 the price of most that are. I play poker monthly with the some of the guys who do live on the lakes , and their houses

The google machine has explanations, such as:

Just

My cousin had the blue LED tubes on the interior C pillars of his grey blue Cutlass Supreme coupe and had them synced up to his subwoofer. I thought they were lame though, and in my maroon Cutlass Supreme coupe only did the usual Pioneer 6x9's and limo tint. Keeping it classy back in the early aughts.

I think you’re thinking waaaaay too into this. It’s a truck, full stop. It’s not an artistic commentary on society. Driving it will not mean that you are inwardly a post-apocalyptic dystopia. It won’t make late stage capitalism traumatize you more than it already does.  It’s a truck.

But, you did get a blog post out

Of COURSE there is a demon in the basement. Brings back Throne of Bhaal demogorgon memories.

Technically it wasn’t a Gallant; it was sold as a Legnum in Japan. But it’s basically a Gallant VR4 with a wagon rear end and some cosmetic bits. I’d be interested to see if any make it over here in a few years when they hit the 25 year mark.

I was going to say I assume when he says sports car he is excluding hyper cars... but then it occurred to me that an EV Corvette would basically be a hyper car.

So maybe like, an EV Miata?

Ahh the Galant. You could convince me to drive a VR4 wagon today still.
