It’s completely possible to be intelligent and rational while also having faith in something that is unprovable with human science. I mean, believing in a young earth also means believing in an omnipotent and eternal being who created the entire universe along with all of its mathematics and physics. If you ask me,

My cousin had the blue LED tubes on the interior C pillars of his grey blue Cutlass Supreme coupe and had them synced up to his subwoofer. I thought they were lame though, and in my maroon Cutlass Supreme coupe only did the usual Pioneer 6x9's and limo tint. Keeping it classy back in the early aughts.

I think you’re thinking waaaaay too into this. It’s a truck, full stop. It’s not an artistic commentary on society. Driving it will not mean that you are inwardly a post-apocalyptic dystopia. It won’t make late stage capitalism traumatize you more than it already does.  It’s a truck.

But, you did get a blog post out

Of COURSE there is a demon in the basement. Brings back Throne of Bhaal demogorgon memories.

Technically it wasn’t a Gallant; it was sold as a Legnum in Japan. But it’s basically a Gallant VR4 with a wagon rear end and some cosmetic bits. I’d be interested to see if any make it over here in a few years when they hit the 25 year mark.

I was going to say I assume when he says sports car he is excluding hyper cars... but then it occurred to me that an EV Corvette would basically be a hyper car.

So maybe like, an EV Miata?

Ahh the Galant. You could convince me to drive a VR4 wagon today still.

Do you know what “concept” cars are? They are quite literally design exercises to display potential new styling concepts for future models. Some are closer to production-ready than others, but many completely ignore safety and practicality.  I could paste a dozen example pictures here from any given auto show, but

Yes and yes. Although I assume these articles are for people who don’t/haven’t driven in real snow. Grow up with it and it’s second nature, but imports struggle. My wife being one this year as her first Michigan winter... she’s terrified (she’s a nervous driver as-is).

You didn’t disprove anything I said. What you said is correct, but what was your point? Please note key words of “basically”, “consider”, and “similar”. Those words were used specifically because they are not absolutes. I am fully aware of the differences between the Z33 and Z34. But in the enthusiast world, for all

He’s pulling a Sonic. Show the ugly version, hear uproar, reveal “reworked” version that actually looks like a truck. It’s brilliant!

DISCLAIMER: I do not think the Sonic thing was a ruse nor do I think there is any other design for this thing, Musk is that crazy.

Bronze/gold wheels are fabulous. Best on red/white/blue. Ehhh on black/grey.

Gloss + clean + direct light = pop, obviously.  But wheels will never be clean, the sun goes down and can be covered by clouds, and more often than not they’ll not pop unless it’s a garage queen.

Steelies can be cool on rat roddy sort of cars, I won’t deny that.  But not on six figure SUVs and 23 inches in diameter.

The wheels are part of the car, just like brakes, windows, lighting, interior, etc. Color choice is part of design, and just like certain colors make certain cars pop because of various design choices in creases/swoops/angles, so do colors of wheels. Black hides shapes, especially on the part of the car most likely to

This is why black wheels are horrible - they show no detail. The less space and more wheel, the worse it is. From any sort of distance and especially when rolling these would look like steelies. I don’t know how anyone finds them attractive. Unique, maybe. But not attractive.

If a sandwich is good or bad is up to the person buying (or not buying) the sandwich, right? Different people like different sandwiches for different reasons. Just because you’d never eat a particular sandwich doesn’t preclude you from feeling things about it.

I’ll fix your analogy. It’s like going to a restaurant that used to make your favorite sandwich and after years have put it back on the menu, except when you order it now, they just open their Door Dash app and have it delivered from another restaurant to the back door where they unwrap it, put it in their own bag,

Old acquaintance ran carbon fiber HREs on his 1k+ hp GT-R built by AMS. Fastest car I’ve ever launched in and it isn’t even close.
