Sort of. Poker has RNG in the draw, but once you “play” your hand, RNG is done.

Hearthstone and other CCGs have a second layer of RNG - many cards will then do a roll upon being played to see if/what/how strong of an effect they have. I don’t play HS, but I’ve played several other CCGs for a long time and there are

Thanks for clarifying, this makes more sense. I’d agree then, that there’s some messed up weighting there since it sounds like job performance metrics are tied to the nature of the bugs. Sounds like those “all star” testers are gaming the system by reporting the bugs that have the highest point to work ratio.

How meta

Care to explain why? The savings were literally due to the nature of my work, which is supporting and configuring a core ERP system. Soon I’ll be working for a company that has 5x the annual sales, so there will be potential to catch even bigger issues or to find even greater process improvements.

Since that is

Absolutely, I’m not saying that QA testers are paid enough. I’m just saying that if you sign up to do a job, and do it as described, that’s earning your pay. He definitely should have been recognized and told good job by his superior though, that’s just managing 101.

I assumed, that this meant there was some sort of monetary bump expected but not delivered:

Great work doing your job, you should definitely have been commended and got a good “atta boy” from your manager.

So a meatless product substituted for real meat that was substituted for a meatless product?

Oh, for sure. That’s why I included the last line. I thought I read this thing will be six figures. No way you have that much cash and care about a few gallons a week in fuel.

I just posted the same thing.  If your commute is around 10 miles or less, 7.5miles charged per hour is plenty assuming the range when topped off is accurate.

It is insanely misleading, agreed. However, it’s not so absurd to think that the right folks could get close to that 100% from the sun during the summer if you have a short commute

My car is not trash.  Take that back or I’ll tell my daddy on you.

Close enough! I get lost in the Kinjaverse sometimes with all of the cross posting.

It is, and you can play it now. There is an app called Auto Chess” (I have no idea if it’s the original or they couldn’t think of a creative name) is out on the Play Store now. It’s fantastic.

And look, I’m back in the greys.  Geez there is some thin skin around here.

Hah, I do the same thing with my wife. I pulled out “on fleek” last week I think, and got a huge “you’re such a dork” look from her without so much as a response. And even that term I only knew third hand seeing my young sister in law’s snaps a year or two ago.

Um... you guys fell for the same parody account.  Something about Lonzo crying over facetime to Lebron.  Pot kettle something?

I know it’s bad when you use another slang in the definition. I mean, I obviously can gather via context what “send” means because I know what pitching means and it’s a similar verb, but again didn’t know it was in youth vernacular. I’m only 33 dangit.

Yeet?

Is this a typo, or yet ANOTHER slang I don’t know?  Man the 30's hit fast.

Yeah, it was just a lame meta joke about how so much breath is wasted discussing car terms here.

Cool story. I’m sure that everyone would love to talk about public policy surrounding park closures at another time. Right now, in this thread about the likely death of a widely loved and regarded auto journalist, we’d like to talk about him.
