So I think we agree, but you’re arguing semantics. Yes, the brakes stop the wheels, and the tires stop the car. But if the brakes can’t stop the wheels efficiently, it doesn’t matter if your tires are double sided tape soaked in glue. The brakes have to be strong enough to stop the wheels from rotating.

I was fortunate enough to “see” Mr. K through a video conference at a regional Z show I was a judge at about a few years before his death. He was 101 I believe at the time but still energetic and amiable on the screen. I have to wonder if he knew how non-existent the pipeline was for the next generation Z... that must

Now, stay with me here, in case this is a new concept to you, but the brakes don’t stop the car. The tires do.

Just where my head went.

can Nintendo refocus their attention on things that are NOT a waste of time?

The exact value of the materials isn’t the point though. The point is that this thing is literally made of money, so it’s value is not a “I know what I have” sort of thing. It’s a “everyone knows what I have because there is an exact appraisal that can happen” sort of thing.

That sucks. I’ve never been laid off but have seen three rounds at my current place of employment over my tenure here to good friends, so I have an idea of how hard it can be.

Yeah, this is like, the epitome of the wrong case to make the argument that this is not worth what he says it is. This isn’t a modded car, it’s freaking precious metals and gemstones that are literally worth what he says they are.

I sort of figured that out early in the article where he said he was curled up on his couch for weeks afterwards.  If you have dependents and get laid off, you don’t have the luxury to sulk around.  You’re hitting job boards that night.

The 90's Avengers were handsome cars. Definitely worthy of little kid lust, even if they were nowhere near Stealth levels of performance.

He drives a Nissan Pao as a daily with a child in it. I tried going down the unsafe discussion with that before, and the commentariat here was not in agreement with my thoughts on safety.  Needless to say, if the Pao is safe enough, this can’t be much worse.

That take is more akin to cold pizza microwaved for 12 seconds. Seems hot on the edges, but when you really dig into it, it’s pretty cool still.

I’ve been told multiple times that my Z sounds great. Crawford EL headers + Berk high flow cats + Borla true dual exhaust = low and mean, burbly at stops, loudish without droning or waking the neighbors up... it’s a good sounding motor with the right setup.  Any motor will sound like crap with a cheap setup, which is

I think you replied to the wrong comment; we weren’t talking about profits at all.

I’m being sarcastic.  Some bloggers here have it in their mind that SUVS are bad and cars are good or something.

Rabble rabble we don’t want the Scout give us back our Focus sedan not a small SUV/CUV rabble rabble.

Is there anything new in this article that wasn’t in the Polygon article? It seems like nearly every detail in this post references “admitted to Polygon” or “as reported by Polygon” or “sources told Polygon” or “Polygon reports”... I’m all for aggregating stuff for us, but this is basically just the Polygon article

I’m inclined to go with your second paragraph, but hesitate. SpaceX and The Boring Company are two very solid arguments in favor of trusting Telsa and then in favor of assuming they are full of it. Musk and his companies have done some truly remarkable things and some truly idiotic things.

There’s really no point in

In this case, absolutely.

I had to stop reading halfway through. I didn’t think I could covet any one thing so much...
