I get mistaken for the parent all the time. I’m only six years older, too. She just looks young and I was born forever on the cusp of yelling at clouds.

I could also see a ten year old with gender dysmorphia (is that the term?) peeking in a restroom out of curiosity and confusion. Just like cis children that age. It’s a behavioral issue the school has likely seen a million times, not a transgender issue.

Yeah, I muddled it in my rage. The idea of turning away customers willing to participate overwhelmed my original idea about these being willing customers, not devious plants with ulterior motives.

The idea that marriage is solely for procreation is the shoddy illogic where they base a lot of their theory.

It’s okay, my ultra-Catholic MIL assures me they are all faking and just claiming abuse for the money.

It’s a far smaller wrong than the offenses against children, but that every priest I’ve heard on the topic blames the press and anti-Catholic sentiment for this scandal is an ongoing issue I can’t stomach.

It’s hard to look for good when you’re busy hearing Bishop Malone’s latest on why same sex marriage is a plot designed to overthrow the church.

I wholeheartedly agree, and tried to argue this to my Catholic-school educated FIL, and his responses were “well, what do they do once that’s all gone?” (because alleviating poverty won’t end poverty, apparently) and some misconstrued quote based on prosperity gospel about people helping themselves.

Our region’s diocese did a big “come home” media push aimed at younger people about the same time the bishop made all the parishes read a letter condemning (not just opposing) same sex relationships. It worked about as well as you’d guess.

Ah, more of the anti-Catholic press” -my family’s parish priest, because denial is not just in the story of Moses.

You’ve reminded me of the time one of my relatives, who has to win everything, insisted the restaurant make her food extra spicy because it wasn’t hot enough the time before. She wasn’t going to let any brown people have food hotter than her racist old self.

I’ve seen something similar at cheerleader personal appearances I’ve been at for work...and I don’t get it. Do they suck the youth from these women through touch? Are they achieving orgasm because there’s more on show than an ankle?Do they really so poorly understand women they think they have a chance?  I really

I’m in my 40s and I still stare at the buffet in unthinking awe. Some of us guys never get the hang of knowing when we want to eat.

The other day, one of my soccer teammates was sitting on the sideline nursing her new kid. Startled me, seeing some major sideboob from the left wing. I moved away, to give her some peace and let the little one get some dinner. Looking back, I hope it didn’t come off as offended or uncomfortable.

I grew up listening to Skip Caray in the original version of this booth. It was not any smarter, but I do have a soft spot for their nonsense rambling. It’s like white noise to fall asleep to after mowing the lawn on a summer Sunday.

I remember a hockey guy being concerned about when the NCAA was coming to drug test...we laughed as we were D3. A couple months later he got busted with a forged prescription and stolen Rx pad.

I grew up in an area (yes, there are some in the US) without footbaw culture. We had some jerk coaches (mainly basketball) but I’m continually amazed by our ability to look the other way when the sport, even when not criminally abusive like this story, still damages and possibly kills.

Back in the Andrew Shue days of MLS, I might have had a chance...of buying season tickets. Looking at today’s athletes, they are another species entirely. They, like, have abs.

Same holds true for NHL. Saw D3 teammates playing pickup with a couple “talentless goons” from the Blues and the size, speed and skill was another class entirely.

Call him up after I get a chance to see him play on a $14 ticket and without crossing the border, please.
