After Belle Tire quoted me $726 for ball joints and a wheel bearing (which is built into the hub on Rangers, or at least, 4x4 Rangers), I went to a local place to get a quote. They said $586 for the same stuff. Now, before you say “Why not do it yourself?”
It’s tax season. And one of the Ranger’s tires had a slow leak.
On this date in 1989, the Mustang ‘came to life’ so to speak in Dearborn, Michigan.
The Dealership sold the Explorer today. i hope the new owners take care of it. Mom had it for almost 9 years (She got it in the summer of 2010). It was a great vehicle, I just didn’t really “love” it. I won’t lie, I did get a little choked up taking it to the salesman though.
A lot of them are similar due to messing with angles.
I’m buying one. Mom and Dad are letting me trade in the ‘08 Explorer that Mom has, but never drives (actually, I’ve been daily-ing it) for this one. 2005, just like Dad’s, FX4, just like Dad’s, 4.0/Auto, just like Dad’s. I wasn’t even looking for a Ranger, but it got traded into the dealership I work at and I knew it…
In early 2011, Dad bought this to replace the ‘95 F-150 I’ve already posted about.
Tweeters are going in the dash, the 6.5s in the doors, and the 6x8s in the rear next to the seats. Hopefully it sounds good. Dad’s never messed with tweeters, and I’ve never messed with speakers.
Went well! Got a new bluetooth headset (No more snagging headphones on seat trim at work! Yes!), a copy of Christine and a Christine T-Shirt, a blanket for when I’m on the computer, and the biggun. I got my sister a stereo for her Blazer, and apparently great minds think alike. Because she got meone for the Mustang!
Song was in the first ATV Offroad Fury game, which is the first video game I’d ever played. Them Bones by Alice in Chains was also in the game, making it partially responsible for my lifelong love of AiC.
That is all.
Have a picture of the Camaro with my new Crusher Camaro tee on it.
‘68 Chevelle post car. Before any of the toys he’s got now, my Pappaw had one in the 80s. Originally a I6/Powerglide car, he shoved in a very wicked 350 (He says it was supposedly 425 horses, but felt like way more, but, well.... I’ll stick with 425) and a 4 speed, and I’d imagine a 4.10 rear gear. Said 350 would…
9th gen F-150 4x4 with a short box and regular cab, a V8, auto trans, and auto hubs.
My PC has been down since May, or there abouts, but thankfully my neighbor is a bit of a guru, so I’m back!
My grandfather bought this car from Red Holman Pontiac in Westland, Michigan 25 years ago today, July 22nd, 1993. It will never leave this family.
I love driving it so much. Took these last Saturday before Oppomeet. Oh, in case you were there and wondering, yeah, I got caught in the rain driving home. Wasn’t that bad actually. I just drove careful and it only tried to get loose once.
That is all.
I ordered new headlights for the Mustang, and while it’s not yet finished, DAMN what a difference it made!
