@Phendraana: The best part is I think they added the Grace part simply because they didn't want it to be "Truely Brown" which I guess, is the last name?

Yeah...maybe I'm just lucky living in the metropolis that is NYC, but every Starbucks I've been in with single stalls just say 'restroom'...so I didn't even realize what a big thing this potentially was.

@HeyJude: If I've made one person giggle today then my job is done. Thank you!

I'm having trouble imagining how much money someone would have to pay me in order to get me to weigh my poop for three weeks.

@applejacks: Word. Multiple times in The Queen I was so caught up in the film/performance I caught myself thinking "how did they get this amazing footage!?"...only to remember moments later that it was JUST A MOVIE and that Mirren was an actress...that's how convinced I was by Mirren's portrayal.

@salthegeek: Yeah! I think I had five of them. My boyfriend looked over and said "what is going on...you keep saying 'SHIT.'"

@tiredfairy: Yeah, I feel like the whole doctor scene where she discussed the previous "procedures" and "we have a plan" are definitely trying to steer us in the 'she kept it' direction. And I kind of hope she does.

@tiredfairy: Totally! This is my issue. If we weren't already constantly expected to be sexy/beautiful 24/7, then maybe the hilarious over the top sexy Halloween costume would just be some fun...but since the world we live in demands this 24/7 it just seems like more bullshit.

@bruschetta: I could see his frustration as well - because it was so obviously yet another avoidance of moving forward on her part. And since her constant excuse is "I don't have time" it's silly to not get a blood test while you're there. HOWEVER, I think it was his attitude of "we're doing it" with no discussion

@whitesycamore: I write She Has No Head! for CBR's Comics Should Be Good blog...I also write about comics on my own site (1979semifinalist.wordpress) Stop by and say hi for sure.

@RousseMacabre, from Ravenclaw: "Feminist-Fatigue" is killing me. I so hear you. I write a column about "women in comics" on a major comics blog and the last year that I've been writing it is probably the most depressed I've ever been as I take a feminist microscope to everything I read. I wish I could go back in

Apologies in advance for the length!

Gods, I would want every single one of those. But most especially #8, #12 (LOVE), #13, #5, #16, #18, #19... okay, fine, all of them.

@Understater: Yeah, this is a good thought. Although I would amend to say that Joan's been using her looks/charm (with men only) AND smarts to get ahead while Peggy is using smarts and talent. I think Joan begrudges Peggy the talent aspect, more than the smarts. She's plenty smart and she knows it...but there's not

@Krissyro: Yeah, I thought of this as well, since everyone is so delighted to remind Peggy of what her priorities should be and that she's running out of time.

@Understater: Yeah, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Joan's totally inappropriate and cruel crack at Peggy's weight. And not that I'd change an ounce on either of them...it seemed really odd considering that Joan is definitely the larger of the two ladies - by a significant margin.

@melskies: Yeah, I agree. There's an old fashioned aspect to Joan's style and a modern take (and a figuring out) with Peggy's style.

Obviously I have no intention of defending this letter - your analysis is spot on- but I have to say...My Best Friend's Wedding is movie that really confused the hell out of me...because though Robert's character's actions were mostly wrong and selfish...I was led to believe (by other things in the film including

This is such BS. That said, I love that there's a freaking typo...and it's laminated. Fail.
