Who said consumers want all this? They add crap upon crap to increase prices but they don't fight regulations because $1 of regulation is $100 in increased price. 

Search and read the warranty.  It is voided if the manufacturer decides proper maintenance wasn't done. Government doesn't do anything right. Your warranty was invalidated.  Does the seller agree to coverage if manufacturer doesn't honor the warranty? No.
