Spanish name on an American made car didn't hurt sales the last time. Plus cant really get a 100% American car anymore. 

But more than half the population cant afford a new car. So the ICE will stay around. Because the fact is the long term reliability of the batteries ie needing replacement will be about the same as buying new.

If you think that if everyone switched to EV that electricity costs wouldn't triple with demand you are deluding yourself.  But EVs are  great start. 

I could cope with 100% EV but...

I wonder if the reduction in interest is really a reduction in interest of buying any new car. Also the UK infrastructure is pretty old how are they coping with at home charging?

I love steak n shake but probably not a career move unless getting into management. But if you’re a car site write cars. There are much much much better political sites. And better political writers. I’ll ask a janitor of a hospital how to clean floors but i wont ask his opinion on heart surgery.

Also someone who drove a current classic when it was new. They don't have any older writers who grew up driving these cars.
