It varies from car to car. When my father was looking at Tunrda's the used one's were only 2 or 3 grand cheaper than the new ones. Sometimes it makes more sense to buy new. Some used cars are only a few grand cheaper than their newer counterparts. I think in cases like that buying new is a much better option.
I really dislike Subaru's current direction. They seem to be going for mass appeal and leaving the fans that made them what they are behind.
