The concession of the losing candidate is largely a matter of custom and ceremony—part of our peaceful transition of power. If Trump refuses to concede, my guess is the rest of us sigh and roll our eyes, then go about our lives. Nothing really happens if he doesn’t give a concession speech. Now if he demands recounts

We laugh and laugh as he ineffectually spends the last of his campaign funds on lawyers.

Imagine getting into this relationship for Botox and Gucci and somehow ending up here. I pity her, to a point.

I have a theory that she hates this shit. She signed on to be a hot, silent, pampered trophy wife not the fucking first lady...not to mention the fact that Michelle Obama is a hell of an act to follow as first ladies go.

I’d vote on a fucking overhead projector just to see the shocked faces of all the old folks voting for Trump.

Yeah I saw that as well. Dumbass.

It’s also against the law to photograph your ballot and tweet it to the public, but his son just did that as well:

I feel bad for her in the same way I feel bad for every woman who is probably going to get abused by their husband tonight.

Yep.

Isn’t that against the law?

My polling place opened at 7 AM, so I left the house at 7:30 to go vote. It took a little over an hour to get through the line (shout out to DC for same-day voter registration!) While I was in line, a woman left after voting and cheered. The line of people waiting cheered back. And as I waited to turn in my ballot, I

In future elections, if you can vote early, it’s SUPER helpful for the candidates and local party - they get updates on what demographics have voted early, and can better target their GOTV efforts during that crucial early voting window. Plus, you never know if your car will break down, or some other thing might

I kind of hope they do it like Stonewall in NYC, where it is a landmark and still an active gay bar. Gay bars are community centers for a lot of us. The shooter took one of those away and I hope the city, the people of Orlando and the LGBTQ community can give it back.

My husband and I early voted in Raleigh, NC. The line on the first Sunday of early voting was 2 hours on average. A good chunk of that was due to the fact that we had less early voting sites overall, and most of them didn’t open until a week or two later. There’s been a lot of voter suppression and disenfranchisement

Love this! I am surprised by how excited I am. I know a lot of people voted early and were encouraging as many people as possible to do so. I decided to wait until today, because it’s my birthday, and I’m so happy I did. It feels really wonderful to cast my ballot for the first woman president of this country. I think

London Calling.

Thanks to all Jezebel journalists for your incredible coverage of this election. Only Guardian UK came close (second) as my news source. It was truly eye-opening to see the raw hate, misogyny and discrimination in our country exposed. I will also say the kindness of the commenters here gave me great hope. Thx ❤️

Clinton never looks happier than when she’s hugging an Obama. I believe 100% that this is an absolutely sincere friendship.

I LOVE that she never says Trump’s name. I feel like that’s her own bit of shade, like he doesn’t deserve to have his name come from her mouth.

Hey, Ladies:
