That’s not what my argument was in regards to. My argument was in regards to the scandal concerning VW’s intentional engineering of a faulty system, which is totally different from a system that later turned out to have a unforseen defect. I am guessing you don’t understand that. By the way, none of this matters

... and for the 11-billionth time the big difference here is that VW intentionally and purposevely engineered a cheat for their emission systems. That is a major and signifigant difference between a defect that was determined after its introduction. So yes, sorry but when it comes to automotive scandals the VW thing

3rd Gear: While I this may or may not be a great deal for Lyft drivers, I think it’s great for everyone else. At least you know those cars and drivers are properly insured for the purpose they’re being used for, and not that very gray area most ridesharing drivers fall into with personal policies.

Dude is passing a car in the right lane. That’s not “blocking” anything.

To be fair, you want a fat ass in a van, because that means a big, um, hole at the back to load stuff in there. It’s a van, remember.

The Cadillac Escalade earned its place... But it’s also lumbering and inefficient...

Might be a great design for a truck, but it’s a terrible design for an accident.

You searched for the right Tuk-Tuk, comparing specs, torque ratios and finally you found the right one and you named it Brad.....and then Brad got trampled by an giant elephant at a religious parade...... you thought nothing could replace Brad......then Dehli Mutual sends you a check.....

I don’t understand why people hate the dealership model. If Tesla sells the product themselves you’ll only be able to buy it from them. Dealerships have to compete with other dealerships that sell the same car. Without independent dealers you’re going to be forced to pay MSRP on everything because you’ll have no other

If Tesla screws a customer they still have to deal with Tesla. When a conventional dealer screws a customer, they can use a different dealership.

So much this.

Google and Tesla are extraordinarily at marketing

The backstory to this custom Camaro can be found on Jezebel with the title: “Evil boyfriend causes sweet young lady to get calluses on her hands from hammer”

And then they proceed to bitch about why automakers won’t make unique stuff.

Should have been more clear, this isn’t about the article, just in reference to a common theme I see in the comments about people who daily trucks VS people who daily anything else impractical. A gas guzzling sports car is just fine around here, but an equally gas guzzling truck is looked down upon. Seems kind of

This isn’t in reaction to anything the article said, but the overall feeling in the Jalopnik comments about trucks. Just seems insane to me that we draw such a hard line between our impractical decisions and theirs.

Exactly, Gm already tried to give us that car before..... sort of.....and America blew it...

Pretty much. I own and drive a 15. With properly adjusted mirrors your side and rear blind spots are effectively nonexistent. Honestly the front pillars are the only real issue.

Alternatively, you could just try not sucking at driving. I’ve been driving a 14’ Camaro SS for two years, and not once have I lost a car in any blind spot.

So you base your car purchases based on what other people will think of you?
