Dear people who think this could only mean Chevy will make their truck bodies entirely out of aluminum like ford:

The CTS’ entire segment is struggling. The only cars in the mid size luxury segment that show gains for this year are the XF, Q70 and Lexus GS.

Someone finds a security flaw. Company immediately fixed flaw.

I’m glad someone can appreciate this car. It’s a rare, stylish relic of a bygone era. American personal luxury coupes don’t really exist anymore, and I like that this is bit more unconventional of an example.

I just want to echo every word you’ve written. I think the younger millennials that don’t understand anything about anything that happened before they were 10 have hit this. 4k for a solid body, working electronics, intact vacuum systems, and something this interesting? Absolutely. NP.

Now playing

It’s an Imperial with a nigh-perfect exterior. It’s freaking awesome.

The Volt is a lot more than a hybrid, it’s really an extended range EV. The first gen Volt only had a range of 38 miles on battery power alone and yet 80% of owner’s trips were purely electric. The increase to 53 miles is expected to raise that to 90% of trips. That data is based on over 50,000 Volt owners who

Yes, because nothing expensive every goes wrong on a Jetta when they get to the mileage at which the Volt’s battery warranty expires*.

We’ll get the best President that Money can buy.

I had an original Chevrolet Volt. I enjoyed it immensely. I had a 22 mile commute to work and access to a charging station there. I put roughly 9900 miles on it using 22 gallons of fuel. Then someone ran a red light and I walked away with a sore nose.

Since when is 42 mpg not impressive for a gas engine? My Jetta TDI is only rated at 42 highway and it’s almost brand new.

Your car has 4 wheel drive and less weight. The V traps at around 11 mph faster than you over the same distance. That mountain of turbo lag should mean topping out high (big turbo, I assume) and the V is still technically walking away.

Because your friend’s was a POS then they’re all POS’s. Got it. I had an ‘86 Corolla and a Volvo 164E that were steaming piles of shit, therefore all Corollas and all Volvos are steaming piles of shit, right?

It’s only “someone else’s project” if it isn’t complete. This appears to be a finished product. An over priced finished product, but a finished product nonetheless.

You know what, even though I’m probably gonna receive a shitload of criticism for my opinion, I’m gonna react anyway: At what point is this childish ‘someone else’s project’ critique going to stop? I mean, really.

We oughta co-write a review, call it good cop-car, bad cop-car.

It should be noted that the last STS was RWD...AWD was optional. It was a solid entry as an actual competitive mid-sized luxury sedan from GM (remember that at that time, the CTS was more or less compact), and felt pretty far removed from the company’s more-plebeian cars.

Nobody forced them to set up the voluntary compensation program.

How is vehemently addressing the problem when it’s known make GM “not a reputable company”? The company is to blame because certain employees covered their asses to the detriment of all others?
