The supercharger network is overhyped to the point of ridiculousness.

You’re completely right about this - The model 3 looks like a typical generic compact that sacrifices capability for looks.

What, $1200 versus $800?

Ha - you made a funny, eh?

No, you clearly don’t understand how torque and power work.

You’re a funny guy. I work for a global supplier - virtually ALL OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers are our customers so no, I have zero bias one way or another.

You clearly have a very high level of bias - which is completly wrong on this car - the build quality AND reliability is one of, if not THE highest in its class -its also the only one built in the US (most are built in Mexico).

As with any car whose value is so far down the food chain, you tend to see them when going through ‘disadvantaged’ areas.

Ha ha ha ha - Shirley you jest?

Well, you know - click fishing is a thing for these guys ....

The Toyota looks atrocious though - look at the front view - it looks like they plain forgot the bottom piece of the surround

Most people tend to like that as it looks cleaner and more like a two door.

Ha ha ha - Shirley you jest?

All GM cars use OnStar for access - which is a good thing, as you can still get satellite service when cell phone towers aren’t close enough - and I still run into that in various parts of the country.

It’s nowhere near as bad as everyone keeps bitching about.

Your comment makes ZERO sense. Michigan uses road salt, hence why my comment is relavent.

Sigh - I don’t teach fluid dynamics classes anymore, but here is an explanation from Wikipedia. In your example, the pressure was reduced when you backed off the throttle, which caused the spindle (the part of the valve that is moved by pressure increasing on one side while the pressure on the other side is reduced)

A three speed, hydraulically controlled transmission CAN’T be in the wrong gear unless it is damaged in some way.

No, your original point was that “domestic three speed” transmission have to hunt for the right gear - that is inccorrect.

You need to look at the same platform as the Chevette that was raced in Austrailia - my 1969 Opel Kadette rallye was also the same platform and it handled very well - for the times.
