The ones who typically buy Escalades, Yukons and Suburbans, and equivalents, at least in my area, tend to be pretty successful in their careers - an extra $100 month for gas is just a minor annoyance not really something to anguish over.
It was pretty annoying when going to the cottage towing the toy hauler - the credit/debit card limit meant stopping for gas twice - the second one to have a full tank for running around up there for a week.
I have a Yukon EXT - I don’t give a shit about the fuel economy - I use it to pull my boat and the toy hauler.
