I’m curious how much vegetation would help. There are a lot of sections of barrier walls in my area that are almost completely covered in vines. I know that wouldn’t work in the Southwest, but in most other areas I don’t see why they just can’t plant some fast growing, evergreen vegetation and just let it go wild.

A lot of posters are making a big deal over the fuel filler placement. Originally Porsche 356, 550s, as well as the common VW had the fuel tank under the front hood, you opened the hood to fill the tank, no big deal. The racing cars basically cut a hole in the hood so the tank could be filled, thus saving time. This…

On the road cars the tanks were under the hood, just like VWs, I’m amazed at the fixation over this! It was just no big deal.

It’s the test track for the Brabham BT62 (and it’s about an hour from my house). I’ll be heading down there to watch the inaugural Supercars event there in about a month’s time. I’m very much looking forward to spectating (and hopefully driving) there in the near future.

Especially if the new Jeep pick up is coming back! The Archer brothers damn near dominated the series with those things! You haven’t lived until you’ve seen 30 of these  things trying to get through Lime Rock’s Big Bend at the same time!

Back in the day, the SCCA had a truck racing series and the results were often similar.....

You should have heard the uproar on the hill overlooking turns 3 and 4 when Magnussen ran out of tire passing the GTD 488 with only 15 minutes to go, losing the lead. Disappointing for me, as I’m a Corvette Racing fan, but there was great racing all day, even in the Continental series.
