The fact that asset forfeiture (and eminent domain) still exists is proof that we don’t really live in a democracy. Either one of those would be gone tomorrow if people were allowed to vote directly on that bullshit.

Asset forfeiture is a scandal and a travesty. If conducted at all it should be court-approved and paid into the state like taxes, not used as an individual sheriff’s personal or departmental slush fund.

It’s a hatch, so it has more usability than anything in the sedan (or sports car) realm that fits the same footprint. I’m desperately ashamed, but I’ve needed to tell someone this for a long time now: despite being morally opposed to the crossover revolution, I think the Macan is gorgeous, and if I had the money to throw around, I’d probably buy one.
