Go out and start a tech company, make billions, start a space aeronautics company, launch rockets that can land backwards, then start an electric car company, launch four models, build the world’s largest factory, and come up with alternative transportation models ( hyperloop ). So after you’ve done all that, get back

I don’t personally but maybe it’s the same way that you guys don’t get any of our stupid, giant trucks in Switzerland. What’s common in one place is unusual and exotic elsewhere

Not sure if serious or joking. Maybe a new subject to post daily could be listing over ugly looking cars that we can’t get... sure, why not?

This admin needs to be renamed the asshole administration.

Its going on 270,000 but its cheap and easy to work on and so I’m not that concerned about the miles as of yet.

Some on that list, like the Suburans have rather large engines that turn lower RPMs for the most part. Thus mathematically they experience less internal wear than say- a 4 banger running at 20% higher RPMs. That’s at least something to think about.

I plan on keeping my 22 year old Tacoma forever if I can help it. Almost as a form of protest to the automakers whom refuse to make anything like it anymore and instead make $40,000+ luxu-barge trucks that are cartoonishly huge.

Last week I decided to do a major tune-up of my 96' Tacoma with 270,000 miles. It has an oil leak, power steering leak and a coolant leak. Anyway... long story short I replaced the water pump, alternator, fixed all of the leaks, got new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, cleaned throttle body, installed new shocks, ball

I have a life and its pretty great: 6 figure income, great wife, and a house 2 blocks from the beach in California. But thanks for suggesting...

Trump is a dipshit and his ideas are shit too. I don’t very ever want any right wingers to ever tell me about their values: trump proves they have none.

Uh... I suppose I don’t get your logic. Its pretty damned ugly and not in an ironic or cool way... its just ugly

Tesla’s biggest asset is that they actually created something nobody else did and haven’t.

All resemblances to a wagon are now gone.... action complete...

That’s sort of what I feel. This isn’t at all like the kind of truck that the typical American buys. If they want to get it right they should look at Toyota and the Tundra which at this point looks as American as “Apple Pie”

... Its like VW said- hey- we should make a truck! And then they sort of gave up halfway and said screw it- let’s just hack saw a SUV in half and stick a bed and some weird looking lights on it and call it a day...

Not sure he’s a Republican but man does he have “Republican” hair...

If you leave the cities here in Cali its the same deal. Shit tons of huge pickups that all look the same, on fugly looking rims with exhaust tips and of course the collection of “ I’m a bad boy” type stickers all over the place.

Its more observational than anything. Around here in California import brands seem to far outnumber domestic brands by far. Back home? It leans very heavily towards domestic brands and more specifically large trucks and SUVs. I also saw practically no electric cars and not one single Tesla.

The problem is that VWs only sell well in a select few, mostly coastal US cities. Yes- there is a new plant in Chattanooga but whenever I visit my folks in TN you hardly see any VWs on the road. They seem to do ok here in the SF Bay Area but then again people here tend to be a little more snotty about their car

Its original mission was more or less a lie. The promise was that the average German citizen would be able to afford a car if they only sent a small amount of their paycheck to the government. In the end almost all of that money went into the military and thus used in part to start the largest and deadliest conflict
