So do people who get those have to find some kind of vehicle exporter? Or are there places in Norway that ship them over? Something that annoys me is that here in the US we have some stupid laws where many of the vehicles sold in the EU aren’t allowed to be imported here. But yet you guys can get Suburbans?

Now its just pathetic. Go away you nasty old man...

Something people also don’t think of is that often times a better made item will cost less over time since it will usually last longer. In my hobby I use a lot of vintage test gear made by HP, Tectronix, B&K, and so on. Some of it well over 50 years old yet still extremely accurate and reliable. The stuff cost a

Well part of what moving production overseas was about saving money and the mantra of many a US firm back then and even today was to pinch pennies as often as possible. By the 70's a lot of the US brand electronics for consumers were total shit. I know because I work on vintage stuff and absolutely hate most things

Its hard to say. I mean look at Germany: They have kept a lot of production there and yet people seem happy to pay the higher prices. Actually I have a friend who works on vintage arcade games and according to him even as late as the 80's companies like Nintendo were having US manufactures make their arcade consoles

Yeah, the stuff with RCA labels on it today are pretty crappy. RCA as a legit company went away in 1987. I work on a lot of vintage electronics and back then RCA made pretty decent stuff. They made some of the best vacuum tubes and TV sets too.

This is exactly how the US home electronics industry ruined itself: They gradually shifted more and more of the production of their TVs, radios, stereos and other stuff to Japan and when it was all over RCA, Admiral, and the consumer electronics divisions of Motorola, Zenith, and Philco disappeared.

How is he going to get parts for the Suburban in Germany? They don’t sell those over there thus he would have to order all the stuff online, which will be a pain.

I’d suggest you re-read my initial response if you are confused as to what my initial gripe with the sketch was. That will handily provide you with your answer. I don’t really concern myself with what might be standard in “the industry”. As a designer to me its simply bad art and poor design. If you don’t agree then

I work in the creative industry myself and if you’re going to sell a product its usually best to at least represent it in a manner that is somewhat realistic. Yes- I also will create concepts and comps of whatever I’m working on but these are never shown to the public since they wouldn’t be at all accurate.
Stylizing

Sure- I’m all for stylized drawing but these drawings seem to indicate a lack of basics when it comes to three dimensional perspectives.

If you’re going to have a concept sketch at least have one that has the right perspectives. This looks like it was drawn by a 12 year old kid.

While on vacation in Hawaii 10 years ago my wife and I rented a 2007 Chevy Malibu. When we got there one half of the island was having a tropical depression with massive amounts of driving rain.

Tennessee native here and nobody in my family ever flew or expressed pride in that flag even though ancestors actually fought on the confederate side. Its a flag with a long, hateful past and for people to fly it proudly only means the South will continue to be viewed as a hopeless, backwards place.

The most depressing thing? We all know that pathetic piece of shit is going to win. Because I guess maybe America was an interesting experiment for a few hundred years and well... guess it didn’t work.

Yep. The SPLC is indeed in Alabama and they have some real balls, going after the KKK, various hate groups and after racist legislation, all non-profit and probably with some degree of personal risk. I’ve been donating to them for years due to their good work.

I am a native Tennessean myself, live in California now, and still have the accent. I’m not going to try and hide it but ever since the election happened people definitely act a bit differently around me if they don’t know who I am. Because the accent is the cartoonish stereotype of uneducated racists.

IMHO its not even exactly that great looking. It looks like more of a thing Studebaker might have designed. But I guess because its a Ferrari its instantly “the most beautiful Ferrari ever made!”

I think Trump has a book he keeps at his bedside called: “ How to be an asshole”. Its filled with lots of neat ideas of which he uses on a daily basis.

Actually they didn’t steel, the ironed.
