Yeah, plus AMC was wayyyy the hell ahead of their time. As in now that Subarus are so popular with their SUV wagons, AMC had the Eagle back in the 70's. That and the AMC grand wagoneer.

This company...

Agreed. Furthermore there is a reason why automation became such a big thing in the US. Its a legacy from the 80's, back when it seemed like “everything” was being made in Japan. Japanese companies had earlier on adopted lean manufacturing techniques while the US was still using old fashioned assemblyline methods.

I fucking hate this era of GM design. Plasticy looking bubble shaped cars that just screamed cheapness. Crack Pipe because of the way it looks alone.

There is a documentary on Netflix about it. At one point a guy who had been in the sit down mentioned that they went up on the roof, made a giant sling shot using a tire innertube and were shooting door hinges. Those hinges were about a pound each... Jesus!

Well, as we all recall GM went through a PAINFUL period during the recession, cutting a lot of jobs not to mention entire brands and long-running models. Yes, it was awful, but in the end I think GM is at this point one of the more healthy automakers in the fold.

Oh. And my nerdy ways will show here. What car am I excited about?

1st gear:

I was indeed being very serious.

I have no problem telling you I voted for Hillary. Thus since you are being squirrely I can only assume you voted for Trump. Probably because you sound like an idiot and if you just came out and admitted you voted Trump then of course that would make too much sense.

Not surprised. Even 3 years ago I bought a barely used Volt premium for 19k, a car that had cost over 40k new.

You voted for Trump. Enough said.

The score is about 3" deep.

Unfortunate name... Sounds too much like “ Urin”

This is why we’re doomed. The country is full of dumbasses.

No offense... but you guys chose just about the most damned boring cars possible. I agree with others: KEEP the C6. The value on those things drops like a rock and so you will lose a lot of money if you sell it.

Wasn’t this one of Ed Welburn’s first concepts? I saw this car in “the flesh” at GM’s design center some years ago. I seriously doubt they would sell such an iconic and historical car.

Look- this was really fucking stupid. We should both be ashamed of ourselves.I will be first to apologize.

No dude, Its not. Maybe if you spent a wee few minutes researching into what I said above you wouldn’t be so incredibly befuddled. BTW, did you vote for Trump?

Obama more or less let Harry Reid duke it out with the GOP. I think he was wise to step aside during most of the mudslinging. Given that Obama’s approval rating is actually higher now than it was when he came to office probably has to do with the fact that he acted like a rational, decent human being for most of that
