I looked at the new one recently. I’m used to mine now but there’s certainly some weird User interface and usability issues. The new one has many of those annoyances figured out. I’m waiting for the new versions to get “used” enough to be cheap. Once they hit the 15-20k range I’ll possibly bite.

I’ve not noticed anything out of the ordinary as far as filling. A lot of the servicing is fairly ordinary too. I changed the oil myself. Not a big deal.

Well, maybe its because the car we had before the Volt was a 2002 Prius with power nuttin’ and a tape player, but at least to me The Volt seems like a pretty nice car. Not sure what the differences are but ours is a 2011 Volt we bought used in 2014. Its the loaded leather interior version with the Bose stereo and so

The gas tanks on the Volts are a sort of vacuum-sealed stainless steel thing and according to the person I talked to about it some time ago the gas could be expected to remain ok for around 9 months. That said I’ve not had that problem because even though I use battery power 90% of the time I will still go through a

Volts are surprisingly cheap to own and operate. Mine gets used as a heavy duty commuter-mobile, with 38 miles each way. I barely get to and from work with a few miles left on the battery. Thus the engine seldom runs. My wife uses the engine more than me. But we fill it up maybe every 2-3 months max.

I see the same one occasionally on my commute home. In person they’re actually quite striking. Very clean lines and since its about the only one I’ve seen, refereshing too.

I and most other rational people are not looking forward to his presidency given his already wreckless choices for his cabinet, which includes some of the most extremist right wingers in the country. That and the man is simply a shit head. He has ZERO business being the leader of this country and frankly I am amazed

Sorry, but there isn’t a comparison here. Was Clinton perfect? No, but she was also not embraced and supported by white nationalist orgs either.

Oh, So I assume you must think Trump was oh-so-much more wholesome? Give me a fucking break...

What in the flying fuck are you talking about dude? I went out and fucking voted. What I have to do with people who didn’t is beyond me. At the end of the day we had TWO canidates: Trump or Hillary, and given the partial list I made above it should have been really goddamned easy to “figure out” which of the two was

Ok, so let’s do a recap of these two individuals:

The concern is that all of us assumed that “Trump would never happen” because the man and his ideas are so truly awful. We assumed he wouldn’t last and drop out before the primaries. And then he won the primaries. We assumed he was done after each and every scandal that befell his campaign. We assumed he would lose

I agree with much of what you have said. On days like today and over the past week though I keep reminding myself and others that he still lost the popular vote and in some ways he won because Americans once again got lazy and didn’t even vote.

I don’t know... because it seemed to me that the GOP was already on shakey ground with a lot of infighting before the election. I don’t see that changing. That and Trump supporters also seemed to be tearing down the so called “ anti-establishment” path and if they don’t see action they’ll be less forgiving if their

Last year we did roughly 660 Billion dollars in trade with China. Not exactly chump change. What I will also tell you is that as someone who works in tech, this industry would be greatly damaged come any sort of economic fallout in China. China is Boeing’s 3rd largest customer for their 777 planes and they are getting

China is tricky because they don’t “play by the rules”. The government simply steps in and pulls some strings or otherwise papers over the numbers to prop up their markets. So let’s say they do in fact dump our currency... what’s to say their government won’t simply step in, wave the magic wand and manufacture the

Ok, I wasn’t clear on that. Sorry Ballaban...

No it wouldnt and wanna’ know why? Because even if what you say were true, a faultering Chinese economy ould take ours down with it. Most major US firms now do more business there than domestically. Like I said- the US is in no position to start a trade war we cannot possibly win.

Are his advisors stupid? Yes, agreed, but they’re probably not stupid enough to realize that if they even try to whisper the words “ trade war” that whatever money that would come their way through lobbys and corporate interests would instantly evaporate and be then redirected towards getting them out of the office

... and why not?
