The vans are becoming less common here too, mainly because both Ford and Chevy decided to stop making a North American only van and instead start manufacturing the same vans sold in the EU. So plants that once manufactured the old Ford Econoline vans were re-tooled for the Ford Transit connect. To me that seems a lot…

I can’t imagine getting one of these over there. At best some of the newer full sized trucks get 20-25MPG and when I visited the UK for example the gas prices there would make driving one of these ridiculously expensive. But as you said, if you have lots of money its doable.

Just out of curiosity, since trucks like these aren’t intended to be exported, what do people in places like Norway and Sweden have to do to make them compliant with their laws? Actually I was watching a Norwegian show called “occupied” and there was a Chevy Suburban in it.

Well... I assume there aren’t exactly shit-tons of Grand Marquis in their country and so it must seem kind of special over there compared to here where they’re just crappy old granny-mobiles.

My thoughts about the CR-Z are the same in general about both Honda and Toyota and their hybrid/ EV programs. I’m baffled that somehow both companies have fallen more or less behind everybody else when it comes to their latest offerings.
