Volt owner here. The extension cord you get will need to be the heaviest gauge you can get. My car sucks down 12 amps. I had to run a 15 foot extension cord from the back of the garage to the front and outside. I first used an AC cord but that was inadequate. I wound up running a home made “cord" made out of 12 gauge

Volt owner here... The problem underlined in this story is a pretty nasty issue. The problem is that EVs caught on way, way faster than probably anyone could possibly imagine and the infrastructure rapidly became woefully inadequate. To give you an idea how fast this happened I bought our volt used 1.5 years ago. At

Well.... I USED to race as well ( racing mowers ) and yeah, racing is expensive but it doesn’t mean its sensible to uselessly throw money away either. And in this case it would really suck if its because someone at VW decided to make some cheater software. Its their fault and not mine. To me even if they screwed up

So does that mean that you are eager to give away lots-oh-money? Not sure what financial common sense has to do with automobiles. Financial stupidity and auto enthusiasts sites are not magically intertwined doncha’ know...

But its still worse than what the product came from the factory getting.

That’s not the point. If you bought a product- any product- and due to the maker of that product having intentionally fucked up... how happy would you be if when they “fix” their own mistake that it is you- the consumer who are on the hook to basically pay for that mistake? Over the life of a car a 4MPG difference

See Toyota? We like these kinds of things. Just put a little more of this into your cars and we might buy more of them.

Russia doesn’t seem to have forgotten how to make them some good propaganda.

I never buy TVs. I have a 44” and a 50” flatscreen I found in the trash. Both had the same problem: about $1.50 in defective electrolytic capacitors that had overheated because the genious manufactures stuck them next to the heat sink.

I knew an old retired navy guy who owned one of these he bought new. It had 800,000 miles on the odometer. Some of the parts he had to machine by hand

I agree. IMHO that's the best car Volvo ever made from a design standpoibt

Pretty much any reliability chart. That and the fact that at that period jaguar as a brand was kissing the bottom of the quality ratings reports during that time

Those cars were the biggest pieces of shit.

90% of the cars shown are cheaper for a reason; they are crappy cars.

Seeing as how Republicans think that the EPA is a bunch of hooey, VW might not have such a bad time. Maybe republicans will instead say they actually wished their cars polluted even more so that we could create more murican jobs

Sorry... This thing is pretty fucking ugly.

Or like my MOther in law’s where the headliner is peeling off for some readpn

Or maybe they're hoping the window cranks won't break before the warranty is up

yay.

I swear I went to high school with a kid who looked, talked, and acted exactly like this guy.
