I dont believe you understood my previous response. Deliberatley releasing pollution into the atmosphere- pollutants that are known carcinogens- is IMHO in many ways worse than having a unknown factory defect.

The company deliberatly lied and cheated. Screw them. That’s all

96’ Tacoma, 2011 Chevy Volt.

CR also gave the Jetta the same rankings back in the late 90’s and those cars were pieces of shit. Literally every other person I’ve known who has owned a VAG product has had serious issues with them.

Their cars have been illegally releasing a greater volume of pollutants than permitted and these pollutants are known carcinogens. So while you mention GM its not really cut and dry since who knows what long term effects of those half a million cars on the road releasing those pollutants will have?

We’ll see.

At least Honda makes reliable cars.

So far nothing concrete had come out about anyone else.,. Yet. But in any regards VW makes cruddy products anyway so this merely compounds things and doubly confirms my choice not to buy their vehicles

Not that I had planned to anyway but I’m pretty sure I wont be buying any VAG products moving forward. This is utterly ridiculous.

Such a big difference from when I’m let go from a job:

What state are you from so we can say the same about it?

Murica! Wonder what the rest of the world thinks about our crazy trucks.

I’ve had my 55 Mercury ( as my name says) for 14 years. It usually just sits in the garage but I do take it out for a spin about once a month. That’s all it needs. Just to get the oil and stuff circulating and to keep the carb free of stale gas.

Makes me wonder what VWs new slogan will be...

Seems to me the latest trend is to design trucks that look like ‘lectric razors up front...

What part of this do you not understand? We have certain emission standards that ALL automakers are required to follow. In this case VW chose to intentionally bypass those laws by cheating. Please indicate where I suggested that VW is the only source of particulate and polluting emissions because you said that- not I.

Ahhhh! What has been seen.... cannot be un-seen....

I live in the Bay Area ( SF Bay Area ) and have run into quite a few VW owners who are pretty angry over the whole thing. At the end of the day its a trust issue. To me its not just a VW thing. If ANY company were to deliberately decieve me they would lose my business immediately. Keep in mind this is only a few days

Not sure what point you were trying to make because what you wrote didn’t make sense. In your logic it would be like saying that oh- you see that coal plant over there, spewing smoke? Its all good cuz’ I ain’t flying over it sniffing the smoke...

You seem to have a difficult time fathoming basic concepts and hence no need for me to try and continue this discussion. Good day.
