Oh yes. you found me out. Indeed I am the master designer over there and I didnt want the secret to get out in regards to how easy my job is. All I do is take last year's model and proclaim it this year's. Its great!

No need to wait, you were correct in your initial assertion.
"Perfecting the same design" is the same as designing the same car over and over. That's called complacency and lack of originality. Most people can't even tell different Porsche models apart and whenever a new model is introduced its more or less like... so what? Not many people really give a shit over seeing some…
it's actually sort of refreshing. Made at a time when porsche wasn't designing the same car over and over again.
These ships were huge. To give you an idea of how large if anyone here has toured a WW2 aircraft carrier the average size of these were around 40-45,000 tons. The Yamato class battleships were almost twice as large.
I figured it was a matter of time for the dirt started getting dug up. This must make the GOP giggle with glee... until they realize they have nobody worth considering at this point for their own candidate.
This will sound generic but whatever. I'm GLAD nobody seems to have gotten hurt.
I've always worked on all my vehicles. That said the newer they get the more time consuming they become. I own a 20 year old Tacoma and the engine and maintenance in it differs little from my 55 mercury. That said we owned a 2002 Prius and now a 2011 Volt. The Prius was a absolute pain to work on. It needed a new PVC…
We had a 2002 Prius until last year ( Very happy we sold it) but anyway, I always did the work myself. Changed the plugs, filters, transaxle fluid, inverter coolant, brakes and so on. Every time I went to the store to get the parts the sales guys had to do some hunting. They told me NOBODY ever came in to buy stuff…
Snake spaghetti!
That has to be one of the ugliest looking man-made objects I've seen.
I did stick in new wheel cylinders for all four drums and installed new brakes, and had the drums resurfaced. Also replaced all of the shocks. That made a big difference. The car has been here in Cali its whole life and there isn't really any rust and the lines are fine. I really should consider the setup you…
Wow! I really like that style. Way cool.
that thought has crossed my mind. My concern is that something like this would exert more pressure on the brake lines. I realize this is ridiculous but the car has the entire original brake system including the original steel lines. As mentioned there is only a single line as well so any failure at all renders the…
These things were made for the "Eisenhower" system of freeways. Once this one is on the freeway its totally fine. That said I grew up in the rural south on a small 2 lane road. My first car was my Uncle's 72' Plymouth Fury III which was bigger than the Mercury. I could lay down flat across the seats. The whole time I…
I get it. Its funny. That said.... I really dislike seeing cars intentionally destroyed for no real reason. Please tell me this car had some sort of fatal and expensive problem with it- like a cracked engine block or something. There are a lot of people out there who can barely afford a car let alone something that's…
Actually it probably would. These old cars had a nasty habit of shooting the steering column through the firewall as well: they were made out of solid steel and since they were just bolted to the thin firewall, a head-on collision that hit it just right would cause it to go right on through.
I did... the 55' Mercury referred to as my tagline which I still own. For about 2 years I had a 15 mile each way commute and this is what I drove. It is a large 4 door car with no power steering, no power brakes, drums all around with a single brake line running out of the master cylinder, and 3 speeds with no…
So is Geneva basically the rich person car show? If so that makes sense seeing as how 3/4 of the cars show above are some sort of Ferrari or Porsche.
I hated these things even when they were new. The overly bubbly/plasticy shells GM and Ford stuck on their cars in that era were sort of like tupperware containers.
