What's worse is his practiced pauses when he think he has an important point. It's s good ten seconds while he makes that creepy fucking face
I am absolutely baffled by your comment. I didn’t “jeopardize” anything. I posted links to various articles about this issue. I was interested in what you linked as well and appreciate it. Whatever you think my motives were and the suggestion it was malicious is ridiculous.
Thank you for this. You could have done that without the rudeness though. I am not trained in the field and provided information I got, that was all. This is Jezebel, not JAMA. I will read the link you provided in a bit.
It’s supposed to absorb moisture down there (from both your vagina and your butt) and keep your smell from becoming overwhelming.
The only thing you should be washing the mucosal surface of your vulva with is water!!
Nah. They support a party that says it will remove women’s bodily autonomy, create a theocratic state, marginalise minorities- and then does EXACTLY that. It also, conveniently, rakes in millions for its corporate donors in the meantime, but bigots don’t care about that nearly as much as oppressing the right (wrong)…
“Does Ted Cruz know that the President does not have the power to issue pardons for state convictions?”
I would say probably, but the people who will vote for him sure as hell don’t.
if I’m elected president, on the very first day in office, I intend to instruct the U.S. Department of Justice to open an investigation into Planned Parenthood and to prosecute any and all criminal conduct by that organization.”
Same here. I kept thinking, c’mon Jezebel, explain what you mean by “hygienic” there. Also, YES to the amazing Anya reference. What’s with all the carrots/what do they need such good eyesight for anywaaaay...
I pushed back against your completely fucked up attempt to make “well of course I put baby powder on my genitals to keep them cool and fresh!” normative. I don’t care what you do to yourself, I’m just not guaranteed to sit idly by when you try to sell your own sad fucking head space as normal to other women.
If you’d be kind enough to explain to me how you read me referring to “adult women putting baby powder on their genitals as a matter of “hygiene”” as a conversation about butt sweat, I’d appreciate it. Like, I bent over backwards here to be clear what I was talking about and even threw in the extra clarification.
In nursing school, I was taught against using cornstarch-based powder, because cornstarch feeds fungus, so cornstarch-based powders can promote fungal infections. In light of this news, I would avoid both kinds of powders (talcum and cornstarch).
“dry and cool” is the antithesis of the natural, healthy state of female genitalia. I’m not sure how to start to explain it to people who don’t understand that. All I can do is repeat — I blame the Confederacy. If we’d just been more resolute about Reconstruction....
To be clear, I’m talking about women applying baby powder to their genitals, not dealing with thigh or butt sweat. I’ve been explicit about that throughout my comments, but just in case anyone missed that, I’m repeating it.
I had to check your post history to make sure you are not a troll. Not sure how to break this to you, but the lady bits are not “cool and fresh” by nature. They are warm and MOIST and they have their own ecosystem and the last fucking thing you should do is start adding talcum powder to dry them out and give them that…
This is ten times worse than discovering that there are women who zealously defend wiping back to front. NOOOOOOOOOOOO. No I have not heard of adult women putting baby powder on their genitals as a matter of “hygiene.” That strikes me as completely insane and obviously a bad idea.
This is what I'm wondering too. I've read three different stories on this and all of them mention how scientific studies done on the effect of talc have been minimal or inconclusive yet I would hope there was SOMETHING more than daily use and a memo to award this kind of judgement. I really want to know bc baby powder…
This Salon article claims that this used to be a daily habit for MILLIONS OF WOMEN! And somehow I have never ever heard of doing it. Also apparently Summer’s Eve now sells talc-free vagina powder so the trend continues!
