Torque is good but a turbocharged engine also means that every internet echo about “not enough power“ can likely be solved by a $600 tune instead of a $6000(?) turbo kit.

I’d be curious to see two versions; one with only the taillights and spoilers cleaned up; and another with only the vents and lower area cleaned up. I suspect the taillights and spoiler would look decent with less business below them.
I started thinking today that I suspect part of the reason VW didn’t release the ID Buzz sooner is; they don’t think it will need the help from the credit.
See my other reply- they’re finite but the potential for recycling makes them have the potential to be longer lasting. Not to mention continuing development in composition/chemistry means potential for other battery construction from new materials.
Point taken but lithium ion batteries can be recycled. So although there are finite amounts of the materials in nature; recycling could offer a lifespan for the technology that is longer than oil.
Are you serious? There are lots of technologies being researched to improve recyclability, density, and recharge speed.
I specced a base cayman with some sport goodies(seats, differential, pasm) out to around $63,000. I know the corvette is faster than the cayman; but is it better?
I say this with only love in my heart for the XR4TI; I don’t think these cars offer enough to go up in value. The lower black/grey cladding ages poorly, almost everyone for sale has issues, the interiors don’t hold up well; and V8 swaps can be done but the book of knowledge and cost to do it isn’t what it is for a Fox…
That’s exactly what I saw recently rumored although for some reason I’m thinking they said 215-217hp.
Last I saw was 215hp/180ft lbs . Can’t remember where but the article was compelling.
Because oil extraction, refinement, and transportation has done no harm to anyone or anything.
Last I saw, studies were stating the impact was slightly in favor of evs. Obviously some of these comparisons are apples and oranges. Extracting oil from the earth has environmental impact, extracting rare elements has environmental impact, farming corn has environmental impact.
My way too early life car plan had been to get one of the 4 cylinder GTSes down the toad when my daughter gets to driving age and I want her to use my 996. Porsche rolling out more 6 cylinder engines should make that plan more affordable.
A series of marginal gains like this are going to save, or at least extend the relevance, of the ICE engine. So for that reason I’m a fan.
I have a feeling announcing the cancellation without actually canceling the fusion is indeed a way to look forward thinking to shareholders/investors but keep on selling a bunch of cars every year.
I would have thrown the first year V6 Camaro into the mix. Never had 300hp been so attainable.
Replace the accord with the 3 series or g70 and I’d be more on board.
(Shrug) I have no idea what her insurance budget is like.
I appreciate that these are all helpful suggestions but I feel like they could have been a little more inspired. How about a 1-2 year old BMW, Accord Sport Manual, or WRX?
As true as that may be; this still seems really good deal. There was a person looking for just about any rust less project air cooled 911 over on rennlist recently and last I saw they hadn’t been offered anything under their $25k budget in the thread.
