    1. DC-Metro area

    Thoughts and Prayers.

    I love the seller’s humblebrag:

And in today’s episode of Things I Never Knew I Needed So Badly....

This is what I used to tell my vegetarian friends but they stopped hanging out with me for some reason...

    Am I ?

It’s not hard to define the costs. Look at the hourly cost to rent a private Towncar and subtract $10-15. The strategy should be quite simple; “For X location, we need to make X dollars per ride”, and price rides accordingly.

I said vegetarians for a reason; mentioning the Others is like saying Voldemort’s name - it summons their followers.

Calling this a hybrid is like calling yourself a vegetarian even though you eat Five Guys once a month.

In future we will focus on other areas.

“No interior?”The took out a seat and added a rollcage. “New bodywork” ? The spoiler and exhaust were changed. “Not a production car”? They basically flashed it to Centodieci-spec. Arguably the most radical change to the car were the tires.

    LOL PAGING MACK HOGAN

She shouldn’t divorce you over the cost, but the fact that it is butt-ugly.

Just wanna say, reading this review (and the saltier comments) post-C8 reveal is even sweeter.

Dude, I dunno - why does a gambler keep gambling after losing a bunch of money? These big VC players haven’t run out of money yet, and ridesharing as a service hasn’t dwindled in interest or appeal.

People still want to use the platform - both riders and drivers, it’s far easier to scale than past dot-coms were, and Uber and Lyft can’t just shut down as easily (not that they want to, because of my first point). That, and AFAIK both companies don’t share crucial rider/driver data - an advantage dot-coms never

By not charging what those rides SHOULD cost, they’re subsidizing rides. Whatever their take is clearly isn’t covering their costs enough to generate profit cover their loses.

Fair - and there’s certainly more leased SUVs/crossovers out there than wagons.

This is true - and that in itself is problematic as hell, and basically created the gig economy. Six figures for a medallion is lunacy. Seven figures is criminal extortion.

It’s definitely insane, but ridehssaring and the gig economy have Made themselves virtually indispensable in a way that dot-coms never could.
