The biggest unsubstantiated threat to any form of corporate regulation is “it’s a job killer”. Give me a break.

Honestly, good. I love anything that helps push the advancement of technology. It may cost a bit of money, but so did the space program in its hayday

Great view and all, but, passing a bunch of GT cars in an LMP isn’t all the impressive, even at that age. It’s like saying, “watch this FXX pass a bunch of F80 M3s”

Don’t you think some of this comes down to what car YOU like and what types of people YOU hang out with?

Based on your screen name, I’m assuming you have a Fiesta or like them.

You can (rightly) assume I own a Mustang.

Is it a huge leap to say that we probably hang out with people who also own Fiestas and Focuses

Ah, so you didn’t see the 3:07 mark where he GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND CLUBBED A ROOKERY OF SEAL PUPS!!!??!

I’m 26 as well. I’d have a practical Focus ST or RS any day over an impractical Mustang.

You sorely underestimate the required effort and energy it would take to get the import laws changed. In terms of political power and influence, Jalopnik and it’s community don’t exist at all, and the wider auto enthusiast community at large exists a tiny bit more than not at all. You’re not getting anything done

OK.

I saw a house trailer at the top of a hill on 495 lose its left wheel as I was passing it. I saw the poof of red/brown dust and then the wheel drift away. I looked at it then buried my accelerator and then tried to beep my horn at the truck driver but to no avail. He seemed to slow as we went down but the wheel kept

I watched a door fall off a shitty golf that was being transported on the back of a flatbed. Fortunately I had been paying attention, and saw that the door was loose. Moments later it was sliding in front of me across 3 lanes of crowded highway. I have no idea how nobody ran over it.

I know enthusiasts hate autonomous, but I am really excited to see a hard date from a huge company like Ford. I think that will push the pace for all the other companies as well, and frankly soooooo many drivers need autonomous life will be easier for people who like to drive.

I’m going to assume you’re not a wind tunnel guy...

I truly believe you are right when you say religion is a drug. I grew up the son of a preacher. And as a youngster, I felt what my dad and millions of others would call the holy spirit within me. Later on in life I tried drugs. Guess what, I felt that holy spirit again. Only this time, I didn’t need a great sermon and

The truck is supposed to yield right of way and wait for an opening. If an opening never comes then, yes, never turn.

I guess FM is really literal about what their kits do.

The only concern I have is how raising fuel taxation affects the poor, because a fuel tax can end up acting as a regressive tax against the bottom of society (priced out of living close to work, as well as causing used fuel efficient vehicles to be priced out of their reach) but that’s not an argument for keeping fuel

1st Gear: This demonstrates the fundamental problem with CAFE. Forcing the manufacturers to make small, fuel efficient cars doesn’t change what people want to buy. To quote Bob Lutz, “reducing fuel consumption by forcing automakers to sell smaller and more frugal vehicles is like fighting the nation’s obesity epidemic

Holy crap, Fiat Chrysler is behind Nissan? I had no idea..
