I think it was an ‘older style’ of donk, like before the fad of 30"+ wheels and all that. Not like it was explained at all in the article like the headline suggested...

Boeing is Seattle, WA. Wikipedia says their HQ is technically Chicago, but I know they do a lot of their engineering in Seattle.
Partially agreed, but this is totally something you would expect to see happen from a Craigslist deal... maybe the solution is to just never buy used cars lol
I don’t agree that there should ever realistically be a stipulation that a cat be declawed in order to be adopted. That’s what I disagree with.
My last paragraph was an example of a reason why not to declaw your cat. So far you haven’t listed any reasons to declaw your cat that don’t have much more reasonable alternative solutions.
While I’m well aware of the pros and cons of declawing, I did note this article is just a high-horse rant and offers no reasons for why one shouldn’t declaw their cat.
Hah, fantastic story. Glad it’s been a little while since I’ve eaten anything though...
Dang, when/where did you get that deal? For that I would honestly do that almost right away... I just checked, cheapest around me right now is $239/mo plus $3k down.
Lol I never said anything about lying, I was just skeptical that they really planned on putting the Voodoo in the GT like you said. I watched the video, and Jamal said they talked about doing it, but never said it was “planned” for it. Big difference....
Agreed - I think the issue is how a lot of people drive. If you just mat the throttle every time you want to accelerate, even just to accelerate a little bit, you’ll spool up the turbos and fuel economy goes out the window. If you don’t need full torque though, be a bit lighter on the throttle, stay out of boost, and…
Link to said video? I honestly don’t believe that Ford really wanted to develop a whole new racing engine just for the GT when they have been prepping and developing the 3.5L for years in their DP cars.
$1500 is still more expensive than $600. And significantly harder to install. Or more costly if you include the cost of labor. And more difficult to remove if you want to go back to stock. In the end, it’s a lot more effort and money for most owners.
It’s really not that ridiculous at all... A whole turbokit is expensive and difficult, and a huge modification for a new car. A simple $600 tune, however, is inexpensive and often easily reversible.
I’ve seen that happen in Michigan too. It’s nice, but sometimes could be done better. Last week I got stuck in traffic because a state trooper had blocked the entire left lane (out of just 2 lanes) to help someone change a flat. Nice, but they were literally right across from an exit, would have been much easier on…
No, I don’t have faith in quality of installs - I live in the Metro Detroit area, 99% of people with aftermarket audio systems around here just go for “mad bass, yo” and there’s random speaker wiring all over the car....
I think those are the stock wheels actually, just powdercoated. You could probably powdercoat them back to their stock color fairly easily. Exhaust and grille you could probably get online for relatively cheap. Never know what went into that aftermarket stereo system in terms of wiring though...
I have never felt the need for an aftermarket stereo in any car, besides maybe a bluetooth adapter for an older car (or something like that). Subs and amp always screams something like “I want that crazy bass so that my entire car literally rattles to pieces”, which I think is stupid. If you’re an audiophile, go for…
Totally agreed - or at the very least, get rid of the subs and amp. That, to me, on a high end car like this, is a complete turn off.
But... none of that really works financially or realistically these days. I cannot imagine there are that many potential buyers of something like this Continental that care that it’s based on the same platform as.... well, it’s not the Taurus, actually. It’s CD4. Technically, similar (not same) platform as the Fusion…
In all fairness, the platform was designed with AWD in mind too, and the Continental uses the fancy rear differential from the Focus RS.
