There’s a fun dynamic where Macfadyen’s accent will occasionally slip, but it oddly works for the character, since Tom is kind of like an artificial intelligence that’s pretending to be a human male with about a 90-95 percent success rate.

Username checks out.

I’m a doctor with a post graduate degree in public health, so I knew quite a bit about vaccination before this current public health crisis. Including how predictable it would be how anti-vaxxers would die at much higher rates after we got a working vaccine.

“What we know now?”

Hey now! Kevin McHale wouldn’t have played a kid in a wheelchair on Glee if he knew “what we know know”. This is a joke because we know everything we knew then now and I’m making the comparison to what you just said.

I’m not insulting you with this snark I’m insulting Evangeline Lily* Even two years ago any sane person

I read what he said and my first thought was “this motherfucker was in the movie that introduced midichlorians”.

Pfft. He’s just upset because Qui-Gon is apparently the only force-user to not survive a lightsaber to the gut.

The Phantom Menace did way more to take away the mystery and the magic than any Disney+ Star Wars show.

This does not have nearly enough stars.

While you can’t see them in theaters, you can get the original cuts. Look up the 4K77 Project.

Fine, go watch Superman II again.

Cool

A substantial part of Andor’s low ratings is the fault of Disney barely promoting it - on top of giving it a pretty awful name.

Obviously they won’t do it because there’s too much money involved but I’d love it if Star Wars just stuck to TV for the foreseeable future. Maybe the sequel trilogy just really soured me on SW movies, but for the most part, I’ve really enjoyed the SW shows. The Mandalorian, Andor, Bad Batch have all been great.

VIS-A-VIS! CONCORDANTLY!!

Han shot. Period.

There’s no “first”.

Han shot, Greedo died, “Sorry about the mess.”

And the proper original trilogy too. Not those jarring Special Editions.

I agree Andor did show us this.

You can, if you don’t mind sounding like the Architect from The Matrix.

I would pay to see the original cuts of the original films, although I think part of Lucas’ deal selling to Disney is they can’t release any of the theatrical cuts without his Special Edition edits. He won’t even give the original prints to the National Archive (and they refuse to accept the altered cuts he gave them)
